The ideal candidate will specialise in panel design, power distribution, and Single Line Diagrams (SLDs), using EPLAN and AutoCAD Electrical to deliver precise technical drawings for high-value projects in mining, manufacturing, or energy sectors.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Diploma/Degree in Electrical Engineering (Heavy Current)
  • 5–7 years’ experience in industrial electrical draughting (mining, power, or manufacturing preferred)
  • Advanced proficiency in EPLAN and AutoCAD Electrical (non-negotiable)
  • Proven ability to create SLDs, panel layouts, and cable routing diagrams
  • Knowledge of SANS 10142 and municipal regulations
  • Advantageous:
  • Experience with Revit MEP, SolidWorks, or MicroStation
  • Familiarity with HV/MV systems or substation design
  • Exposure to BIM coordination

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and draft electrical panels, SLDs, and cable schedules using EPLAN/AutoCAD Electrical
  • Develop 2D/3D models of LV/MV electrical infrastructure compliant with ISO/SANS standards
  • Collaborate with engineers to resolve design challenges and integrate electrical systems with mechanical/architectural plans
