VACANCY: ENROLLED NURSING ASSISTANT(NIGHT SHIFT)

We are seeking to employ a dynamic and energetic Enrolled Nursing Assistant at a Care Centre located at a Retirement resort in Century City, Cape Town. The required ENA will promote and deliver quality elderly patient care and wellness in accordance with industry standards and to execute Nursing duties within the standards, procedures and protocols set down by the South African Nursing Council.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

· Supervising Carers

· Knowing and understanding Patient diagnosis

· Doing vital signs and observations as instructed by the Duty Sr.

· Assisting Carers with daily care of Residents/Patients

· Conducting basic duties to meet the requirements of quality patient care

· Ensuring that all nursing activities are carried out in compliance with SANC regulations and the Care Centre's policies

· Maintenance of Infection Prevention Standards as well as promotion of health and safety

· Maintaining excellent patient and customer care aligned to Life Healthcare standards

· Effective record keeping and General administrative duties

Requirements

· Enrolled Nursing Assistant registered with SANC

· Experience working in the retirement industry

· 4 years' experience as an Enrolled Nursing Assistant

· Excellent knowledge of nursing care methods and procedures

· Proven experience of elderly care, Alzheimer's/Dementia and frail care

· In-depth knowledge of health and safety guidelines and procedures (sanitation, decontamination etc.)

· A team player with excellent communication and interpersonal skills

· Responsible and compassionate

· Outstanding organizational and multi-tasking skills
