We are seeking an experienced and compassionate Registered Nurse (RN) who are NICU-trained to join our dedicated Neonatal Intensive Care Unit. The ideal candidates will have a minimum of 3 years' hands-on NICU experience, demonstrating advanced clinical skills and a deep commitment to providing exceptional care for critically ill and premature newborns.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITY
Deliver specialized nursing care to neonates requiring intensive medical attention
- Monitor and assess the condition of newborns, administer medications and treatments as prescribed
- Operate and maintain neonatal life support equipment (ventilators, incubators, etc.)
- Collaborate closely with neonatologists, pediatricians, and allied healthcare professionals
- Educate and support families, offering clear communication on infant care and treatment plans
- Maintain accurate, timely, and comprehensive patient records
- Ensure compliance with hospital protocols and health and safety regulations
- Contribute to continuous quality improvement initiatives within the NICU
Qualifications & Requirements:
- Registered Nurse with a valid license (SANC or equivalent regulatory body)
- Completed NICU training/qualification or post-basic Neonatal Nursing Science
- Minimum of 3 years' experience working in a Level II or III NICU setting
- Proven ability to work in high-pressure, fast-paced environments
