Job Qualifications:

  • Experience with Windows and Mac OS troubleshooting.
  • Experience with Server 2012 to 2022.
  • Experience with VMWare and Hyper V Virtualization.
  • Experience supporting M365 and Azure.
  • Proficient in Firewall rules, VLAN configuration, access point support and administration, VPN tunnels,
  • Minimum of five years experience in IT Support or a similar role.
  • Advanced knowledge of Firewalls, Switches, Network architecture, and troubleshooting.
  • Advanced understanding of managing, and troubleshooting networks.
  • Advanced understanding of virtualized environments.
  • Experience with Managed Service Providers (MSPs) is highly desirable.
  • Active Network Certifications are preferred.

Job KPI's:

  • First-touch closed: Each ticket that is completed with only one time entry contributes to this number
  • Utilization: The percentage of time that you are on the clock and billing time to client tickets
  • CSAT: Scores filled out by clients using the rating system in tickets

Job Requirements:

Duties and Responsibilities

Internal Processes

(Infrastructure Management)

  • Develop and Implement Network Infrastructure Master Plan including Data Recovery Plan.
  • Design, install, maintain and support network infrastructure (WLAN, LAN)
  • Ensure that the network is operational and provides optimal performance, security and reliability.
  • Manage the Primary data center and the DR centre for business continuity
  • Plan and manage IT infrastructure projects with budget and timelines
  • Support the Digital transformation strategy and provide innovative solutions for deployment.
  • Maintain network infrastructure hardware and related software, analyse problems and monitor networks, load updates to ensure security and accessibility (procurement and decommissioning of hardware).
  • Report on Network Infrastructure Performance (WLAN and LAN) in accordance to the IT Governance Framework.
  • Draft, implement and maintain relevant Policies, procedures and guidelines to ensure optimal functioning of the network Infrastructure in TIA.

  • Ensure employee compliance in TIA to all the IT policies and regulatory legislation.

  • Verify and collate invoices for the service providers used by IT for Network Infrastructure establishment and maintenance.

  • Manage all ICT Infrastructure Assets in conjunction with Finance.

The Recipe for Success

This is a key role within the IT Operations Team and is responsible for delivering the Group IT Network & Security designs and to deliver and maintain strong IT Network & Security Services across the entire Le Creuset group. Working alongside the Network & Security Manager to ensure that core Network & Security services across the globe are well maintained, target service & availability levels are established and well reported both internally and with third party suppliers. To work with regional Infrastructure Teams and suppliers to establish consistent and efficient IT Systems & Services across the group.

The role will require a high degree of technical knowledge around a wide range of Network & Security services but particularly Windows, Office 365, End-Point protection, Mail filtering, Network typology, Proxy, VPN, LAN/WAN and Firewall as well common security standards & technologies. Knowledge of ITIL Incident, Problem, Request, Change & Knowledge will be required. Strong Network & Security operational practice around the world in accordance with the operating model will be key.

It is important that a mature consideration is made to balance the need for stability whilst also delivering appropriate IT changes. The needs of the different subsidiaries and their local operations will need to be taken into account as well as gathering the requirements of the business and aligning these to the services offered by IT.

The role may require some international travel and an expectation for being available 24/7 in times of critical project delivery or major incident.

Planning & Scheduling:

  • Working with the regional Infrastructure teams and Managers to plan and schedule the transition of new Network & Security services and changes into live in a safe and sustainable way.

  • Cloud Network & Security (Azure and/or AWS).
  • Cisco Meraki Networking stack (Firewall, Switching, WIFI etc.).
  • Cisco Nexus & UCS (Flexpod Architecture).
  • Network Security: configuration of NextGen Firewalls (any of Cisco, SonicWALL (ideal), Palo Alto, Fortinet, Checkpoint, Forcepoint), VPN (IPSec, SSL).
  • Security products: Mimecast (Email Security), Netskope (SWG), Strike (EPP/EDR), Sumologic (SIEM), Tenable (Vulnerability Scanning) and Cloud WAF's.
  • Requires experience and knowledge of Security standards including relevant ISO standards 27001 or CIS Critical Security Controls, etc.
  • Requires expert knowledge of modern Network & Security technology.
  • Preferred experience in cloud-based or software defined Network & Security provision.
  • Awareness of GDPR as well as other local regulatory control mechanisms.

Work Experience

  • Extensive experience in delivering IT related Network & Security propositions.
  • Direct experience in working in an ITIL environment.
  • Vendor management experience including the management of outsourced near shore partners.
  • A passion for and deep understanding of leading-edge technologies. Clear and tangible experience of defining and delivering compelling, business aligned IT strategies.
  • International experience and working across multiple regions.

Key Qualifications

  • Proficiency in English is essential. Must be Fluent.
  • A minimum of 5 years of proven experience in the cybersecurity field is required.
  • The candidate should have, as a minimum, a good analytical degree or equivalent certification roadmap.
  • Ideally the candidate will also have advanced certifications that relate directly to the role including.

Job Purpose

The purpose of this position is to plan, implement, monitor, and maintain robust network security measures that protect the integrity, confidentiality, and availability of CPUT's information systems and infrastructure, while ensuring compliance with institutional policies and regulatory standards.

Job Knowledge, Skills and Experience

  • A BTech in Information Technology or equivalent qualification.
  • At least 3-5 years' experience in network security (firewalls, DNS layer security, MFA) Deployment, Configuration and Support / in CCNA / HCIA (International certified).

NB: However, candidates who meet the qualification and experience requirements but do not have all certifications may be considered for conditional appointment, provided the certification is obtained within one year of employment.
