Job Description

Main responsibility.

  • Network Security Design & Implementation:

Design, implement, and maintain network security architectures, ensuring the protection of bank's systems, data, and assets against unauthorized access, cyber threats, and attacks.

  • Firewall & Intrusion Detection:

Configure and manage firewalls, VPNs, and other security appliances (IDS/IPS) to detect and prevent potential security breaches.

  • Threat Monitoring & Incident Response:

Continuously monitor network traffic for suspicious activity, security breaches, and vulnerabilities. Lead incident response efforts to mitigate risks and minimize damage in case of a breach.

  • Security Audits & Risk Assessments:

Conduct regular security audits, vulnerability assessments, and penetration testing to identify weaknesses in the network and ensure compliance with internal and regulatory standards.

  • Security Tools & Automation:

Utilize security tools (SIEM, firewall management systems, vulnerability scanners, etc.) and automation techniques to enhance security posture and streamline incident response processes.

Job Requirements Academic Knowledge

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or related field. Relevant certifications (e.g., CISSP, CISM, CCNP Security) are preferred.

Work Experience

Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in network security or IT security, ideally in a banking or financial services environment.

Skills / Specialized Know How

  • Strong understanding of network protocols, including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, and HTTP.
  • Hands-on experience with firewalls (Palo Alto, Cisco ASA, Fortinet, etc.), VPN technologies, and IDS/IPS.
  • Experience with network security tools such as SIEM, vulnerability scanners (Nessus, Qualys), and penetration testing tools.

  • Support team on security operations

  • Lead and support cost efficient and future proof solution design and execution to support and implement projects to meet company strategy
  • Provide regular capacity forecasts and strategic network master plans
  • Develop training roadmap for the team in line with the new technologies and business requirements
  • Make strong relationship with the vendors
  • Manage the relationship with key vendors across the organisation
  • Manage the vendors performance based on contractual obligations and drive the vendors’ performance to achieve the target
  • Monitor and report on vendors performance at a working and functional level
  • Drive the vendors to perform the functional roles based on agreed scope of agreements and drive for efficiency
  • Provide performance feedback and drive improvements
  • Build relationships where value can be maximised
  • Provide day-to-day management of vendors performance
  • Provide initial point of escalations for management
  • Carry and champion the business needs and targets to ensure the vendors to perform
  • Resolve technical disputes with the vendor

New Technologies Adoption

  • Research emerging technologies to keep with Security trends
  • Create and execute Roadmap for new technologies adoption to meet organisational
  • Minimum of a BSc in Science/ Engineering, B. Tech (Information Technology)/ comparable Qualifications will be considered
  • CISSP or technology related certificates i.e., CISCO, Check Point etc or post graduate qualification added advantage

Experience

  • Minimum 5 years Information Security related Experience
  • Experience must have been gained in the IT arena of a large Enterprise / Telco / Carrier, Cisco FTDs, ISE, DUO and Umbrella, Fortinet and Checkpoint Technologies, Deep packet analytics and tracing, Intermediate routing and switching
