Clockwork is looking for a skilled, creative, and detail-oriented Multimedia Designer to join our Interactive team for a large global gaming client. This is a full-time position based in Johannesburg, working with one of the world’s most iconic gaming brands.
The ideal candidate should have a passion for digital creativity, a strong grasp of motion and static design, and an excellent understanding of social media formats. You’ll be supporting a variety of tactical campaigns and asset-driven briefs, helping elevate the Xbox brand through outstanding design execution.
Digital Design Execution
- Create high-quality digital assets (static and motion) across platforms, including social media, web, and digital banners.
- Execute asset-driven creative briefs such as campaign add-ons, refurbishments, and seasonal content (e.g., Black Friday, promotional offers).
- Ensure design consistency and visual excellence across all outputs.
- Work closely with project managers, copywriters, and social media teams to bring campaigns to life visually.
- Bring creative flair to tactical briefs by suggesting innovative visual approaches that align with brand guidelines.
- Stay up to date with design trends and gaming culture to keep work relevant and engaging.
Platform-Aware Content Creation
- Adapt designs to suit various platforms and audience needs, with an understanding of formats, resolutions, and responsiveness.
- Design for a wide range of deliverables, including Instagram stories, YouTube thumbnails, in-feed posts, motion graphics, and more.
Team Contribution and Communication
- Collaborate with global and regional teams to execute cohesive creative solutions.
- Absorb feedback from multiple stakeholders and apply it constructively to refine designs.
- Be a flexible team player, able to take initiative and adapt in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment.
- A diploma or degree in multimedia design, graphic design, or a related field.
- 2+ years of experience in a digital/multimedia design role, ideally in an agency or brand environment.
- Strong proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, After Effects, Premiere Pro).
- Solid understanding of social media formats, trends, and user behaviour.
- A high attention to detail, layout, and typography.
