The South Africa Manganese operation can be found in the manganese rich Kalahari Basin, in the country's Northern Cape, which is home to 80 per cent of the world's manganese. This position is based at our Wessels Mine which represents one of the largest manganese reserves in South Africa.

As a Day Shift Supervisor, you will be responsible for providing operational support to Surface Operations with a key focus on Health, Safety and Legal compliance. You will also be responsible for the execution of improvement initiatives in your area of responsibility.
Other key responsibilities include, but aren't limited to:
Enforcing compliance with the Mine Health and Safety Act and other company regulations. This includes conducting regular inspections and ensuring safe work procedures are followed
- Update operating standards, procedures, work instructions, control systems, and ensures critical controls are effective;
- Manage compliance-related documentation and records. Prepare and submit accurate compliance reports to the superintendent and relevant authorities;
- Ensuring structural integrity by maintaining cleaning routines, replacing screens, and performing structural inspections;
- Initiate and manage personal and team-based technical projects to improve plant performance;
- Collaborate closely with the production team to execute on improvement initiatives;

- Must have a minimum of 3-5 year's experience in a mining environment;

Qualifications for this role are:
