Requirements :

• Mine managers certificate of competence for underground mines
• Underground blasting ticket for metalliferous mines
• Mine Overseers certificate of competence
• Min 10 years' experience in narrow tabular underground mining
• Willing to relocate to Rustenburg area
• Experience in conventional stope mining methods advantageous
• Experience in Chrome, Gold, or Platinum mining advantageous
• Exposure to Chrome wash plants advantageous

Duties and Responsibilities :

• Oversee and manage underground mining operations, ensuring safety, efficiency, and production targets are met.
• Ensure compliance with MHSA regulations and DMRE requirements, promoting a strong safety culture.
• Lead and mentor teams, including Mine Overseers and Shift Supervisors, driving workforce performance and development.
• Implement and optimise narrow tabular mining methods and conventional stope mining techniques.
• Manage mine planning, production, and operational strategies to maximise resource extraction.
• Ensure effective blasting operations, ground support, and ventilation for safe underground mining.
• Oversee compliance, reporting, and stakeholder engagement with regulatory bodies and local communities.
• Advantageous: Experience in Chrome, Gold, or Platinum mining and exposure to Chrome wash plants.
• Willingness to relocate to Rustenburg and be based on-site for operational oversight.
