The primary purpose of this role is to support the KPMG Risk Management team by conducting online research and preparing comprehensive background reports to facilitate internal client onboarding and risk assessment procedures. Additionally, the position involves providing day-to-day assistance to the line manager and team members to ensure smooth operational workflow.

Key Responsibilities
— Conduct in-depth research on current and prospective clients and suppliers using publicly available sources and subscription-based third-party research tools, applying structured research methodologies to ensure accuracy and relevance.

— Prepare background check reports in various formats, ensuring accuracy, consistency and timely delivery within established deadlines.

About the Role
We are looking for an experienced intelligence analyst to join an embedded intelligence and security operations team for a professional services client based in Johannesburg, South Africa. As the regional analyst, you will deliver a suite of intelligence products used to inform the client's business decision makers.

In addition, you will engage directly with internal and external stakeholders to interpret their requirements, provide support and consulting, and leverage Sibylline's own suite of intelligence analytical reporting. You will work within a team of embedded regional analysts and embedded Global Security Operations Centre analysts who provide a 24/7 global monitoring service to the client.

You will be focusing on geopolitical and security issues in Sub-Saharan Africa (SSA), with a focus on the larger markets of Nigeria, Kenya, Ghana and South Africa. You will also be asked to apply an analytical skillset to other regions across the globe, and to cover for other regional analysts in the team.

This is a full-time role working Monday to Friday 9 am – 5 pm and requiring to work a minimum of 3 days per week in the client's Johannesburg office, with the potential to be more depending on client requirements.

Responsibilities

• Monitor open-source intelligence to assess geopolitical events around the world that could impact the client's global workforce and business operations
