Meridian Wine Merchants is hiring a Wine List Assistant to support our On Consumption Trade Marketing & Sales team. Based in Gauteng , this role focuses wine list development, growth, and maintenance for all On Consumption customers on a national level based on portfolio, product and customer segmentation and image grading.
Responsibilities include:
- Receiving and reviewing wine list briefs
- Assisting Sales Consultants with wine list development
- Assisting with portfolio prioritisation, as well as gap and competitor analysis
- Managing the process from brief, design, proofs, sign-off, print & production to delivery
Key requirements:
- A passion for wine and food, and a love for the hospitality industry
- A self-starter, highly motivated, and driven by service excellence
- Pays extreme attention to detail, is process-driven, with creative flair
Qualifications and experience:
- Grade 12
- Diploma or Certificate in Sales, Marketing, or a related field
- Cape Wine Academy Certificate or South African Wine Course, WSET level 2 (or equivalent) will be beneficial
