  • Work alongside internal teamsto prepare and execute crisis communications strategies, ensuring consistent and accurate messaging during challenging situations.
  • Be a custodian for the agency's clients, ensuring that clients' needs and interests are prioritised in all efforts.
  • Act as your clients' social media contact, whilebuilding and maintaining strong, long-term relationships with clients, andaddressing client concerns and inquiries promptly with a can-do attitude.
  • Social media management and live posting at events and activations.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience as a Social Media Manager (2-3 years experience), preferably within an advertising or digital agency.

  1. Execute the social media strategy for both audience segments (Adults and Kids).
  2. Manage all content planning and execution, ensuring alignment with marketing objectives and adherence to deadlines.
  3. Compile social briefs and content plans.
  4. Work alongside the required stakeholders to ensure the execution of the social media strategy
  5. Respond to current trends and coordinate with various teams to execute reactive content
  6. Critically review and analyze all social content, including creative and copy
  7. Manage customer enquiries and ensure the correct processes are followed
  8. Report on monthly, seasonal, and annual content performances across adults and kids.
  9. Provide key learnings and insights to contribute to social strategy
  10. Mentor and guide junior social media team on day to day tasks

Qualifications

  1. 2 - 3 Years’ experience as a social media manager, with proven experience in mentoring a team
  2. Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, public relations, journalism, or a related field
  3. Additional certifications in social media management, digital marketing, or analytics are a plus.
  4. Experience in managing content planning and execution for a variety of brands/companies
  5. Strong skills in copywriting, graphic design, and video editing with a keen creative eye and previous experience in content creation
  6. A portfolio showcasing successful social media campaigns and creative content
  7. Proficiency in social media editing tools
  8. Proficiency in social listening tools
  9. Ability to interpret social media metrics and adjust strategies accordingly.
  10. Up to date with social media trends and the ability to respond quickly to them.
  11. Understanding of SEO principles.

Key Responsibilities :

Strategy and Planning :

  • Develop and execute comprehensive social media strategies aligned with marketing objectives and brand guidelines
  • Conduct audience research, competitive analysis, and social listening to inform content and campaign planning
  • Create and manage detailed content calendars, including scheduling posts across various platforms (e.g., Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, X).
  • Stay up to date with the latest social media trends, platform updates, and best practices to ensure client strategies remain innovative and effective.

Content Creation and Management :

  • Produce and curate engaging, high-quality content, including compelling copy, visuals, and video concepts.
  • Collaborate with the creative team to develop and direct visually striking assets that are optimised for each platform.
  • Ensure all content maintains a consistent brand voice and tone for the group.
  • Oversee and manage user-generated content (UGC) and influencer partnerships.
  • Manage the CEO’s personal social media account (IG) and upload of content.
  • Community Management and Engagement :

  • Actively monitor and engage with online communities, responding to comments, messages, and inquiries in a timely and professional manner.
  • Foster positive relationships with followers, influencers, and brand advocates.
  • Identify and escalate potential issues or crises to the appropriate internal teams.
  • Analytics and Reporting :

  • Track, analyse, and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) such as reach, engagement, conversions, and traffic.
  • Use social media analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics, Facebook Insights, Sprout Social) to measure campaign success.
  • Prepare and present detailed monthly reports, providing actionable insights and recommendations for future strategies.
  • Requirements

  • 4 years of experience in a social media role, with at least 3 years in a digital marketing or advertising agency setting.
  • Matric and relevant bachelor’s degree / Diploma in Marketing, Communications, Digital Marketing, or a related field.
  • Proven proficiency with social media platforms and their respective management and analytics tools.
  • Hands-on experience with social media scheduling tools (e.g., Hootsuite, Sprout Social).
  • Familiarity with content creation tools like Canva or Adobe Creative Suite is a plus.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and translate it into strategic insights.
