Kamal CISCO is seeking an experienced Mechanical Maintenance Engineer to provide high level mechanical and technical support to the mechanical maintenance department, including planning and carrying out scheduling, coordinating and supervising the maintenance employees. Ensuring that all work is delivered safely, on time and within parameters set down by management, along with managing equipment and materials required.
Responsibilities
• Prepare planned maintenance schedules and get approval from Plant & Maintenance Manager
• Monitor and maintain a record of the condition of all mechanical machinery
• Plan and prepare for maintenance activities to ensure minimal disruption or delay to production process
• Organise, lead and control shift fitters in executing repair, maintenance and new installations.
• Investigate the need for suitable replacement parts of equipment and make recommendations to Plant & Maintenance Manager
• Consult with Plant & Maintenance Manager on purchase of spares or replacement equipment, ensure that orders are timeously placed, and follow up deliveries
• Train personnel in the execution of maintenance and safety procedures, through in task instruction as well as formal lectures or demonstrations
• Maintain knowledge of the most recent technological developments in the Kamal CISCO field of endeavour, with particular reference to mechanical engineering, by attending selected courses, consulting with equipment suppliers, and perusing technical journals
• Maintain discipline and good industrial relations within the department
• Ensure that company policies and objectives are communicated to members of the department
• Ensure that employee suggestions, personal difficulties and grievances are communicated to management, and take the necessary action to resolve such matters
Qualifications:
• N4 Mechanical Technician/diploma
• Qualified red seal artisan
• Grade 12 or Job-related qualifications
• Valid Code 8 License
• Computer literate
Requirements:
• +10 years' experience in manufacturing maintenance environment
• Experience in Steel making industry will be advantageous
• Must be able to work independently and as part of a team
• Safety training will be an advantage

The Electro-Mechanical / Printing Maintenance Technician is responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of production and card personalisation equipment through preventative and corrective maintenance, troubleshooting, and technical support. Duties And Responsibilities
Equipment Maintenance and Troubleshooting
- Diagnose and repair issues with machinery, both mechanical and electronic, including escalation of complex issues when required.
- Perform high-quality preventative and emergency maintenance on production and card personalisation equipment.
- Troubleshoot, maintain, and service all operations equipment including Entrust MX6100, Matica S5200LX, MPR3000 machines, industrial shrink wrappers, industrial shredders, embossers, laminators, and related systems.
Carry out day-to-day repairs such as:
Cleaning rollers, sensors, cavities, and other key components.
- Calibrating sensors, data read/write devices, and application pressures.
- Evaluating and replacing worn or misaligned parts (servo & stepper motors, spindles, clutches, belts, bearings, etc.).
- Evaluating and replacing temperature, proximity, and position sensors.
Making software adjustments for temperature, hardware positioning, and other performance factors.

- Perform machine testing, calibration, and quality assurance checks before client delivery.
Production Support and Operations

07h30–17h00: Monday – Thursday
07h30–16h00: Friday
May be required to work overtime as per operational requirements
