Job Purpose

To develop and implement appropriate solutions in the form of value propositions to meet or exceed all sales goals, performance quotas, and process expectations in the relevant region. To provide tactical and operational leadership and support to the regional sales team.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Sales Management
  2. Develop and execute the regional sales strategy.

  12. Develop, implement, and manage regional marketing objectives.
  13. Drive horizontal and vertical growth opportunities.
  14. Constantly analyze statistics regarding sales, profits, and market trends.
  15. Drive the achievement of strategic and operational targets.
  16. Coordinate sales team promotional activities across the region.
Customer Relationship Management

Maintain and expand the customer base by building and maintaining good relationships with key customers and recognizing new customer opportunities. Understand key customers’ operations, strategies, and trends. Gather regional market intelligence on national and key regional accounts. Manage regional resources to achieve strategic objectives. Ensure customer service policies are implemented and maintained. Resolve escalated customer queries professionally.

Supply Chain and Distribution Management

Manage regional stock availability issues with depots. Oversee the regional order-taking process.

Regional Budget Management

Drive the achievement of regional sales budgets in volume and control sales costs.

Regional Management

Lead the regional team towards meeting strategic objectives through communication and talent management. Manage succession plans, training, performance appraisals, and team development. Conduct weekly management meetings. Manage employee relations, monitor team performance, and support team members to achieve objectives.

Duties & Responsibilities

Minimum Requirements and Personal Attributes:

  1. Tertiary Sales qualification
  2. Minimum 5 years experience in similar role (Trucks and Heavy Machinery)
  3. Code 8 license and own vehicle
  4. Excel, Word, PPT proficiency
  5. Commercial/Truck Industry experience
  6. Excellent communication skills
  7. Excellent interpersonal skills
  8. Excellent presentation skills
  9. Confident and proactive approach - anticipates issues and requirements
Package & Remuneration

R 45000 - R 55000 - Monthly plus Medical Allowance and Provident Fund
