QUALIFICATIONS NEEDED:
- Matric/Grade 12 or equivalent
- Certificate in Storekeeping/ Warehousing or equivalent.
- Certificate in Inventory Management.
- Driver's license (Code 8 code 10)
- Recognition is given to Prior Learning and practical experience.
NECESSARY EXPERIENCE & INDUSTRY KNOWLEDGE:
- At least 1-2 years' experience within a similar position.
- Experience in quality management systems within a cGMP facility.
- Computer literate with experience in working with an ERP system (SAP).
KEY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE ROLE:
Inventory Control Activities:
- Process of reservation and BOM requests.
- Review and complete all relevant documentation as it occurs.
- Perform transactions on the stock management systems (electronic and/or manual) to reflect the activity performed and ensure they are up to date.
- Perform physical stock counts, expiry checks and submit reports to the Stock Controller.
Receiving Activities:
- Perform the physical receiving operations and complete all relevant documentation to GDocP standards.
- Adhere to requisite SOPs when receiving goods.
- Ensure physical resources for receiving activities (pallet jack, pallets) are available by upfront planning of activities and evaluation of incoming goods delivery schedules.
Picking and Packing Activities:
- Proactively plan for sufficient cold packs and components to be available for the packing operation.
- Pick the goods as reflected on the pick list ensure accuracy picked and order checked by Supervisor.
- Ensure all areas including cold rooms & freezer are clean and tidy at all times.
- Proactively communicate timeously to line management of the need for purchasing packaging components.
System Management:
- Inform line management as to quantities of consumables used for BIOVAC operations as per the required minimum as dictated by safety/buffer stock levels.
- Ensure systems are followed for all Material Handling operations; receiving, pick and pack and stock control are in accordance with GWP.
- Ensure MH and stock records, operations records are systematically filed and easily retrievable.
Transfer and Distribution of Goods:
- Timeously transfer goods to Biovac departments and between various Supply Chain Stores or warehouses.
- Ensure cGMP and occupational health and safety regulations and SOPs are always followed to prevent deviations.
- Inform the necessary people e.g. supervisor, line manager of any deviation to standard.
- Always wear correct PPE.
- Assist with development of training of new or stand in MHOs by allowing transfer of skills, coaching, shadowing.

Ecowize is looking for an experienced Reach Truck Driver that will be responsible for material handling of a variety of items to various warehouse locations. The successful incumbent will also be responsible for operating a reach truck and forklift when picking, binning, and moving items and loading and off-loading of items from transporting vehicles.
High level – Objectives:
- Picking and binning/ receiving items in the warehouse and yard facility.
- Load and unload cargo.
- Adhere and maintain a safe and healthy work environment by following standards and procedures and complying with legal regulations.
- Ensure that material handling equipment is well maintained, and faults are reported.
- Adhere to the picking schedule to ensure that loads are completed on time.
Key responsibilities:
- Efficient and effective stock control of receipt and transfer of stock (incoming and outgoing)
- Accurate checking, scanning and receipt of stock with adherence to all receiving and stock control policies, requirements, and procedures.
- Planning co-ordination and completing physical verifications of product/stacks (all checks) against picking slips and delivery notes.
- Conducting and logging of quality checks (product temperatures) on incoming and outgoing product
- Conduct verification checks on the computerized stock system.
- Check all stacks and ensure compliance with company quality standards and stacking requirements.
- Logging all non-conforming pallets on delivery note and control documents.
- Commit and comply to the requirements of the 20 Keys continuous workplace improvement programme and any other company management systems.
Requirements:
- Grade 12.
- Valid Forklift driving licence
- Valid Reach Truck Licence
- Previous forklift and reach truck driving.
- Previous chemical handling experience.
- Previous experience in loading and off- loading trucks with forklift.
- Previous experience with handling of products with shelf life and expiry dates – LIFO (Last in First Out) vs FIFO (First in First Out).
- 2 years’ experience in an FMCG environment.
- Knowledge of warehousing and distribution.
- Previous warehouse picking/receiving experience.
- Knowledge of health and safety procedures in warehousing.
The successful incumbent must have the following skill sets:
- Must be comfortable with the Ecowize culture and values.
- Able to work a strict shift position and willing to work over weekends.
- Experience in the food production industry.
- Must be able to manage the strict flow of operations.
- Ability to work in a dynamic work environment and meet deadlines.
- High work standards, energetic and driven.
- Excellent communication skills (English Command).
- Proficient in all Microsoft Applications.
- Attention to detail.

Position Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to oversee the engineering, design, installation, and commissioning of ore processing systems, specifically crushing, screening, and conveyor belting systems within mining operations. This role requires a strong technical background in mechanical/electrical engineering, combined with proven leadership in managing multidisciplinary projects in mining and heavy industry environments.
The successful candidate will drive projects from concept through to completion, ensuring adherence to timelines, budgets, safety standards, and operational performance targets.
Key Responsibilities:
- Project Planning & Delivery
- Lead end-to-end project execution covering feasibility, engineering design, procurement, construction, installation, and commissioning of crushing, screening, and conveyor systems.
- Develop detailed project schedules, budgets, and resource allocation plans.
- Monitor progress against milestones and implement corrective actions where necessary.
- Engineering & Technical Oversight
- Provide technical guidance on ore crushing, screening, and conveyor system design, layout, and optimization.
- Ensure engineering specifications meet operational, safety, and compliance requirements.
- Review and approve technical drawings, process flows, and installation schematics.
- Stakeholder & Contractor Management

- Reporting & Documentation
- Maintain detailed project documentation including progress reports, budgets, and engineering records.
- Provide regular updates to executive management and stakeholders.
Qualifications & Experience required:
- Bachelors degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Mining Engineering (postgraduate qualification an advantage).
- Minimum 810 years experience in project management within the mining or heavy engineering sectors.
- Strong technical knowledge of ore crushing plants, screening systems, and conveyor belting installations.
- Proven track record in delivering large-scale engineering projects in operational mine environments.
- Project Management Certification (PMP/Prince2) highly desirable.
