Job Description

Our client is seeking an experienced and dynamic Product Marketing Lead to join their team. This pivotal role will be responsible for aligning product offerings with the brand’s identity and ensuring they connect meaningfully with target audiences. You will translate product features into compelling customer value propositions and support go-to-market plans for both online and offline campaigns.

Working closely with product, design, tech, and sales teams, you will craft marketing strategies and content that drive product understanding, adoption, and customer engagement. This role reports to the Head of Marketing & Brand and plays a key part in brand growth through insight-led, customer-centric execution.

Key Responsibilities

  • Understand the full suite of products and how they meet customer needs.

  • Plan and execute campaigns that drive product usage, education, and adoption.

  • Collaborate with product stakeholders to understand roadmap items and new releases.

  • Translate technical product features into clear, customer-facing messaging and creative briefs.

  • Tailor campaigns to different audiences, including shopkeepers, agents, and partners.

  • Roll out marketing elements across both online and offline channels.

  • Partner with the sales and operations teams to ensure successful delivery in the field.

  • Support partner-specific product marketing initiatives, including targeted product pushes.

  • Monitor and report on campaign performance, using insights to refine future initiatives.

  • Maintain up-to-date marketing materials that are relevant and effective.

Requirements

  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in brand management or product marketing.

  • Proven experience supporting product development processes.

  • Strong understanding of marketing and communication principles.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

  • Proficiency in market research and data analysis tools.

  • Strategic thinker with the ability to execute effectively.

  • Experience in fintech, telecommunications, or FMCG industries preferred.

  • Understanding of informal markets and consumer behaviour will be an advantage.

  • Grade 12 with a tertiary qualification in Marketing, Communications, or Business.

Job Purpose

The Head of Digital Marketing Production and Delivery will lead Nedbank’s enterprise-wide digital marketing production strategy, overseeing the planning, execution, and management of digital asset delivery. This role is accountable for production quality, output, and alignment with business goals. Responsibilities include managing the Design Studio and Delivery Management teams, coordinating with internal stakeholders and external partners, and serving as a subject matter expert in content excellence, multimedia production, and campaign optimisation.

Additionally, the Head will ensure effective digital campaign execution across all owned channels, enhancing user experience through journey mapping, content strategy, and continuous optimisation to meet strategic and operational objectives.

Job Responsibilities

Develop enterprise-wide digital marketing production and delivery strategy

  • Provide input into the business plan and Integrated Enterprise Marketing Strategy
  • Develop data driven KPIs and objectives in measuring digital marketing production and delivery contribution to ROMI
  • Develop a digital production and delivery strategy & approach
  • Lead, develop and deliver the digital marketing production and delivery strategy
  • Research, recommend, and implement new techniques, thought leadership, and technologies that will help deliver impactful digital marketing production and delivery initiatives, in the short and long-term strategic horizons
  • Contribute to the establishment of the digital marketing production and delivery guardrails and governance frameworks and communicate these across teams
  • Collaborate with teams to ensure a single digital marketing production and delivery strategy is provided as input into the Enterprise Marketing Strategy
  • Develop and continuously update digital marketing production and delivery policies, in line with digital marketing production and delivery strategy and guardrails
  • Establish relevant governance forums to enable the digital marketing production and delivery capability

Analytics & Insights

  • Collaborate with digital commercialisation, strategy, and marketing excellence teams to leverage actionable insights and formulate optimisation tactics
  • Progress the delivery of the Digital Marketing Insights agenda across marketing teams
  • Reporting for the Quarterly Business Review process and at other required intervals

Advisory role

  • Provide an advisory role on digital marketing production and delivery
  • Develop productive relationships with marketing centres of excellence and technology teams to drive an effective paid, owned, earned, and shared ecosystem in the requisite aspects of the marketing funnel enterprise-wide
  • Stay abreast of digital marketing production and delivery best practice
  • Work with cross functional teams.
  • Develop a creative, customer-centric, data-led, and innovative digital marketing production and delivery team and culture
  • Overseeing the execution of the digital marketing production and delivery team members development to meet strategic and personal goals.

  • Minimum of 4 years of experience in digital marketing with strong exposure to performance channels
  • Previous agency experience and comfort working in a fast-paced environment
  • Proven success managing multi-channel campaigns across PPC social SEO and display

  • Strong analytical mindset and data fluency to guide strategic decisions
  • Experience working with global brands and adapting campaigns for regional markets
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with strong presentation abilities

Role Overview: Digital Marketing Manager

We’re looking for a driven, creative, and strategic Digital Marketing Manager to develop and execute a comprehensive marketing plan that will expand our reach, elevate our brand, and drive sales conversions. This role will focus on optimizing our digital presence across SEO, PPC, social media, and content marketing, utilizing data-driven insights to refine campaigns and maximize performance.

Key Responsibilities

SEO Strategy & Execution

  • Define KPIs for SEO success, including traffic, impressions, clicks, and conversion rates.

  • Create and maintain an SEO checklist of high-impact tasks to improve ranking and authority.

  • Develop content consolidation and keyword optimization plans to eliminate cannibalization and boost rankings.

  • Implement URL cleanup strategies and monitor recent Google AI updates to maintain ranking.

  • Use tools like GA4 to monitor performance and provide actionable insights.

Content Marketing & Social Media

  • Plan and execute a content strategy across blogs, social media, and website pages that aligns with SEO and brand goals.

  • Build out content campaigns that tell Talent Sam’s story and attract qualified leads.

PPC and Paid Social Campaigns

  • Develop and manage PPC and paid social campaigns on platforms like Google Ads, LinkedIn, and Meta to drive traffic and conversions.

  • Conduct in-depth keyword research and competitive analysis to identify high-impact search terms.

  • Implement A/B testing to determine high-performing ad copy, landing pages, and other elements.

  • Optimize "buy intent" pages to increase organic ranking and conversion rates.

Performance Analysis & Reporting

  • Track, analyze, and report on campaign performance using Google Analytics, Google Search Console, and other analytics tools.

  • Use data insights to improve strategy, refine campaigns, and enhance user experience.

Client and Stakeholder Collaboration

  • Partner with cross-functional teams to align marketing initiatives with business objectives.

  • Build relationships with media, industry influencers, and strategic partners to amplify reach.


Skills & Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience in digital marketing, with a focus on SEO, PPC, and social media.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, or related field; advanced degrees or certifications are a plus.

  • Proven track record of managing and optimizing digital campaigns that drive measurable results.

  • Proficient in SEO and PPC tools (e.g., SEMrush, Ahrefs, Google Analytics, Google Tag Manager).

  • Exceptional project management skills with a results-oriented mindset.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
