The Vice President of Global Market Access will be responsible for developing and executing strategies that ensure the successful global commercialization of Telix’s products. The role requires significant expertise in market access, reimbursement, and health economics, as well as a deep understanding of the regulatory landscape for nuclear medical products. The Vice President of Global Market Access will work closely with the executive leadership team, regional market access, commercial, medical affairs, regulatory affairs, and other cross-functional teams to drive successful product launches and maximize product revenue and patient access.

Key Accountabilities

  • Develop and implement global market access strategies: Work with cross-functional teams to develop and execute strategies to secure optimal reimbursement for Telix’s products worldwide. Monitor and evaluate trends in healthcare policy, market access, and reimbursement environments to proactively identify opportunities and risks.
  • Monitor and anticipate the evolving market access, institutional customer, and competitive landscape and advocate Telix’s position with respect to Market Access strategy.
  • Contribute to the globalization of our therapeutics to populations across new and emerging markets.
  • Define the pricing, tendering, contracting, and life-cycle strategies in close alignment with global colleagues. Manage pricing and market access strategies: Develop pricing and market access strategies with the Regional MAx teams to maximize revenue and patient access, considering the competitive landscape, regulatory environment, and local market factors.
  • Lead health economics and outcomes research: Oversee the development of health economic models, clinical and economic value dossiers, and other evidence-based materials to support successful market access and reimbursement decisions. Develop and execute HEOR studies to generate additional evidence and support product value proposition.
  • Utilize in-depth knowledge of fundamental principles underpinning pharmaceutical industry pricing and access at the different phases of the product lifecycle to make recommendations to business on the selection of appropriate approaches.
  • Inform price-setting through pricing research using relevant analytical approaches (game-theory, behavioral economic insights), pricing research methods (Conjoint, Probabilistic, Van Westendorp, etc.).
  • Determine optimal Value-Based or Market-Based pricing strategies through the application of price-setting methodologies, product label, and internal product positioning.
  • Utilize in-depth knowledge of innovative pricing models and managed entry schemes to address payer needs.
  • Set optimal pricing and contracting strategy per market segments in strong collaboration with global market access and local pricing/access teams.
  • Develop the Global Pricing Policy and associated pricing story.
  • Establish and maintain relationships with key stakeholders: Develop and maintain relationships with key opinion leaders, reimbursement authorities, and other external stakeholders to ensure successful product launches and ongoing market access.
  • Provide input into clinical development plans: Provide input into clinical development plans to ensure that they are aligned with market access and reimbursement requirements.
  • Drive cross-functional collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including commercial, medical affairs, regulatory affairs, and others, to ensure alignment and successful execution of market access strategies.

Position Requirements

  • Advanced degree in health economics, health policy, pharmacoeconomics, or a related field required.
  • 10+ years of experience in global market access, reimbursement, or health economics, with a proven track record of success in developing and executing market access strategies.
  • Deep understanding of the regulatory landscape for nuclear medical products.
  • Good understanding of the US and EU Price & Reimbursement strategy.
  • Strong leadership and interpersonal skills with a demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Strong analytical and strategic thinking abilities.
  • Experience in the nuclear medical pharmaceutical industry is preferred.

Sun Pharma is seeking a detail-oriented, strategic, and collaborative Manager, Market Access Contracts who will be responsible for the development, execution and management of contracts with key market access stakeholders including payers, PBMs, trade, GPO and IDN customers. This role supports cross-functional teams to endure timely and compliant contract execution, aligns offers with pricing strategy and help s optimize terms and access to the portfolio of brand products.

Responsibilities

  • Draft, negotiate, and execute contracts and amendments across different customer channels
  • Key liaison between the Market Access, Legal, Pricing, Trade, and Government Pricing teams to ensure accurate and compliant contract execution, while also managing contract lifecycle activities from offer through implementation and renewal
  • Ensure accurate tracking of all active contracts, amendments, term sheets, and LOIs using appropriate contract management systems.
  • Lead redline and negotiation processes in collaboration with inter stakeholders and external parties.
  • Negotiate and Manage data use agreements with ASCOs and Specialty Pharmacies ensuring alignment to business needs and budgets
  • Lead resolution of contract disputes and operational issues with partners or internal stakeholders.
  • Support audits, due diligence, and internal reporting needs as they relate to contracts.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related discipline.
  • JD, MBA, or related advanced degree preferred.
  • 5+ year’s business experience preferably in pharmaceutical or biotech contracting, market access or related field
  • Understanding of payer and channel contracting (PBM, plan, Medicare/Medicaid, Trade).
  • Ability to manage multiple high-priority projects and deadlines in a matrixed organization.
  • Strong interpersonal and written communication skills with attention to detail.
  • Proven ability to lead negotiations and collaborate cross-functionally.

The presently-anticipated base compensation pay range for this position is $98,500 to $120,500. Actual base compensation may vary based on a number of factors, including but not limited to geographical location and experience. In addition, this position is part of the Annual Performance Bonus Plan. Employees are eligible to participate in Company employee benefit programs which include medical, dental and vision coverage; life insurance; disability insurance; 401(k) savings plan; flexible spending accounts; and the employee assistance program. Employees also receive various paid time off benefits, including vacation time and sick time.

Continuously monitor global pricing and reimbursement policies of key markets, healthcare reforms and measure impact on oncology assets. Anticipate potential pricing developments and outline mitigation strategies in partnership with global and local cross-functional teams. Pricing and Contracting Lead pricing and contracting initiatives, ensuring competitive and sustainable pricing strategies. Adhere to global pricing approval processes. Collaborate with finance and legal teams to develop and negotiate pricing agreements and contracts with payers. Create innovative pricing and access programs to maximise asset potential and provide sustainable access to patients. Market Access Training Provide training and support to internal teams, including sales and marketing, on market access-related topics. Stay abreast of changes in reimbursement policies and communicate updates to relevant stakeholders. Manage the market access budget to plan, to ensure maximization of resources to fulfill the asset access needs. Code of Ethics and Compliance Full adherence to Dr Reddy's and South Africa code of marketing and ethical engagements with all stakeholders. Complete on-boarding training matrix within agreed time. Maintain up to date training register and adherence to all company training requirements within allocated timelines. Adhere to all policies and processes relevant to specific role/ function including but not limited to LMRC promotional material management, Contracting and procurement processes, execution of events, engagements with HCPs, expense policies etc. BU wide Transformation initiatives Take lead in proposing BU wide transformation initiatives which could create distinct value for the organization. Facilitate implementation, review & tracking such initiatives (for e.g. safety, productivity, manufacturing excellence). Depending on the business requirements and strategic direction for the BU, identify specific areas / projects / problems; engage with business teams and external entities to work out solutions; partner in implementing the solutions; monitor the progress and help troubleshoot when needed in order to create value for the BU through various initiatives. Qualifications and Experience required Education & Experience Advanced degree in a relevant field (e.g., Health Economics, Pharmacy, Business Administration). Minimum of 5 years of experience in market access within the pharmaceutical industry, with a focus on oncology. Strong understanding of healthcare systems, payer landscape, and reimbursement policies. Proven track record of successful pricing and reimbursement negotiations. Determine optimal Value-Based or Market-Based pricing strategies through the application of price-setting methodologies, product label, and internal product positioning. Utilize in-depth knowledge of innovative pricing models and managed entry schemes to address payer needs. The Field Reimbursement Manager is part of the Market Access group supporting Sun’s family of branded products in the United States. This primary goal of this role is to support appropriate patient access to care. This team focuses their efforts on supporting practices, accounts, and providers with necessary support materials and education to seek coverage to therapy for appropriate patients. Educational components include reimbursement (coverage, coding & payment), specialty pharmacy and distribution processes, provider support services (e.g., benefits investigation) and patient support resources (e.g., copay assistance programs, patient assistance programs) The person in this role will monitor national and local healthcare payer policies, develop relationships with key advocacy leaders, state societies, and provide direct support to prescribing physicians, hospitals and support staff regarding reimbursement and product access and reimbursement dynamic within payer channels.

Area Of Responsibility

The Field Reimbursement Manager will execute local market plans to support field based priorities. This will include understanding and educating on local health policy, reimbursement, billing / coding, and patient access issues. Field Reimbursement Managers will collaborate with his / her field partners to alleviate reimbursement and access issues impacting physician offices and the ability of patients to access Sun portfolio of products. The Field Reimbursement Manager will interact with access services hub, managed markets team supporting patient access and local field sales teams. The person in this role with have expertise in access and reimbursement issues encompassing coverage, prior authorizations, appeals, exceptions, denials, coding and payer payment guidelines , payer policies, sites of care, understanding of coding guidelines (CPT/J-Code/ICD-10), statutory or commercial pricing structures or mandates, and quality programs related to value based care and clinical care pathways.

Responsibilities Include

  • Incorporate knowledge of dynamic and complex marketplace and business trends to deliver maximum access to the portfolio of Sun products.
  • Has a deep understanding of medical vs pharmacy benefit and policy
  • Understands the dynamics of Specialty pharmacy and specialty distribution
  • Demonstrates a broad and wide understanding of the physician buy and bill model vs assignment of benefits to alternate sites of care
  • Understands and is able to establish alternate sites of care to support patient options.
  • Possess expertise in Medicare policies and the variations within all parts of Medicare
  • Ensure processes are in place to drive clear communication with sales teams to ensure clarity of reimbursement and access issues and opportunities and support pull-through efforts.
  • Listen and respond appropriately to customer needs and questions.
  • Effectively and persuasively communicate with customers using effective selling, listening and negotiation skills, proper terminology and approved messaging.
  • Maintain thorough knowledge of Sun products.
  • Regularly and timely communicate with manager, as well as members of various support teams, as required.
  • Create and maintain a positive impression with customers.
  • Prepare reports for management as needed.
  • Participate in teleconference and live National, regional and district meetings and training sessions and represent Sun at national and/or local conventions when requested.
  • Ensure behaviors consistent with Healthcare Compliance guidelines.

Job Qualifications

  • A minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree is required.
  • 5 or more years of healthcare industry experience required. A minimum of 3 years’ experience in the healthcare industry including a strong understanding of but not limited to, insurance verification and / or claim adjudication, physician office and outpatient billing, medical benefit procurement, understanding of adjudication within Commercial and Government payers, buy and bill model, Medicare, Tricare , Medicaid and National and Regional Commercial payers.
  • Experience working in Dermatology and/or Oncology is a plus.

  • Experience in Sun Pharma’s therapeutic areas: Dermatology, Oncology, Biologics preferred

The presently-anticipated base compensation pay range for this position is $173,500 to $212,500. Actual base compensation may vary based on a number of factors, including but not limited to geographical location and experience. In addition, this position is part of the Annual Performance Bonus Plan, and is be eligible for a company vehicle and incentive bonus compensation. Employees are eligible to participate in Company employee benefit programs which include medical, dental and vision coverage; life insurance; disability insurance; 401(k) savings plan; flexible spending accounts; and the employee assistance program. Employees also receive various paid time off benefits, including vacation time and sick time.

The compensation and benefits described above are subject to the terms and conditions of any governing plans, policies, practices, agreements, or other materials or documents as in effect from time to time, including but not limited to terms and conditions regarding eligibility.
