To support the efficient operation of machinery by assisting the Machine Operator with machine setup, monitoring, and maintenance to ensure smooth production flow and product quality.
Responsibilities
- Learn to assist the primary machine operator in running various batches on various machines (Semi Auto encapsulation; auto encapsulation; blister packing)
- Learning to perform in process checks during manufacture (Capsule weight checks; capsule length; capsule appearance; blister checks; batch code and exp monitoring; and so on.)
- Machine cleaning and readiness checks
- Primary packing (capsule bottling and sealing)
Skills and Competencies:
- South African Unemployed youth between the ages of 18 and 34.
- Must not have participated on the YES programme before.

- Sanitation of draught equipment at outlets within a designated area.
- Continuous maintenance and general upkeep of draught equipment to maintain stringent quality levels in trade, as well as to reduce downtime and prevent callouts.
- Attend to callouts when on standby with in SLA requirements.
- Deliver glassware.
- Quality of 95% achieved.
- Minimum car stock variance.
- Jobs closed daily.
- Management of car stock.
- Manage car stock to ensure minimum variances and enough stock to deliver quality service.
- Submit stock orders timeously.
- Ensure all administrative documents are completed when stock is return and/or given to team member.
- Minimal stock variance.
- Ensure administrative documentation are upkept.
- Submission of job cards daily on CallRunna.
- Update outlet record boards with in the prescribe manner.
- Ensure that vehicle inspection is done once a week and submitted to the Operations Administrators.

Machine Operator (x2) – Packaging Department
Location: Parow
The role of the Machine Operator in the Packaging Department involves ensuring that Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) procedures are followed during the production of various products. The individual will be responsible for adhering to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) within the production facility and will report to the Fill and Pack supervisors. The ability to work independently while maintaining high standards is essential.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Cleaning of Workstation and Machinery:
Perform thorough cleaning of machinery following established procedures.
2. Machine Setup and Changeover:
Assemble and operate machines correctly and efficiently to minimise wastage and product loss.
Ensure appropriate change parts are used for each pack size as specified in the filling and packing documents.
Verify the condition of machine components and report any maintenance requirements.
3. Bulk Handling and Control:
Handle bulk materials in compliance with GMP requirements.
Maintain and verify correct fill volumes according to quality standards.
Ensure balance verification for each pack size being filled.
4. Documentation and Record-Keeping:
Complete all in-process documentation accurately.
Reconcile job documentation to ensure accuracy and compliance.
5. Performance Indicators:
Meeting product delivery deadlines according to planned schedules.
Ensuring high Overall Equipment Efficiency (OEE).
Minimising customer complaints related to delivered units.
Maintaining high standards of hygiene to prevent environmental failures.
Demonstrating reliability through good attendance.
Upholding personal values and positive workplace behaviour.
Skills & Competencies:
Assertiveness and initiative.
Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
