• Adhere to delivery schedules and plan routes effectively to meet deadlines.
• Maintain accurate delivery records, trip sheets, and logbooks.
• Communicate with dispatch and clients to provide delivery updates and instructions.
• Assist with the offloading, positioning, and basic setup of machinery at client sites when necessary.
• Perform routine vehicle cleaning and ensure the truck is kept in a clean and presentable condition.
• Support warehouse operations during non-driving hours, including stock handling and general assistance.

Overview & Key Responsibilities

This role is responsible for the safe & reliable delivery and collection of all products in Liquid or Gaseous form in cylinders and Minitanks to the company’s customers and facilities. The key responsibilities of the role include but are not limited to:
1. Responsible for conducting the daily pre/post journey vehicle checks;
2. Ensure safe and efficient delivery and collection of cylinders at assigned destinations;
3. Responsible for the safe loading and offloading of cylinders.
4. Responsible for general housekeeping of the truck;
5. Ensure SHERQ standards are constantly adhered to;
6. Performing general ad hoc activities.

Essential Requirements

1. A minimum Grade 12 certificate;
2. A valid unendorsed EC Drivers License with PrDP;
3. A valid Forklift licence;
4. Must have valid Dangerous Goods Certificate;
5. Must have own reliable transport;
6. A minimum of 5 years in heavy duty driving experience;
7. Must be experienced in transportation and handling of Dangerous Goods;
8. Must be medically fit to perform physical work;
9. Must be willing to work Flexi hours & overtime when required;
10. Must be able to produce written reports on vehicle fitness and accurate delivery paperwork;
11. Must have good verbal and written communication skills, specifically in English

• Valid Code 14 License + PDP
• Min 5 years' experience driving heavy trucks
• Experience in construction industry or hazardous goods
