The Operational Care Specialist is responsible for managing the coordination of shipments accurately and timely manner, meeting customer transit time requirements. The Operational Care Specialist is part of a team (Operational Care Centers) responsible for coordinating transport activities by executing the necessary bookings with our partners and gateways, generating the required documentation, and monitoring each shipment, including deviation handling. You liaise with our customer care specialists to ensure specific requirements are met. Securing buy rates, as well as capacity with qualified carriers/partners, and or via the KN gateways is critical. All activities are to be performed in compliance with rules and regulations governing air transport, industry, and product standards, KN standards and guidelines, and executed via KN operational systems.

• Ensure timely, precise handling of all air logistics operations, minimizing delays and meeting customer deliverables.
• Track shipments proactively, manage deviations, and maintain accurate visibility and financial data in KN systems.
• Engage effectively with internal teams, suppliers, and external partners to resolve discrepancies and ensure smooth operations.
• Monitor carrier and partner performance, escalating issues when commitments are unmet to maintain service standards.
• Drive cost efficiency and automation, contribute to process improvements, and support seamless account transitions with Sales and Customer Care.

What we would like you to bring

• Air Logistics Experience 3–5 years of hands-on operational experience in air freight or logistics, with a strong grasp of shipment processes and regulatory compliance.
• Skilled in logistics systems and automation tools, with a focus on minimizing manual tasks and maximizing operational efficiency.
• Excellent interpersonal and written communication abilities, with a proven track record of working across teams, suppliers, and external partners.
• Strong analytical mindset to identify discrepancies, resolve issues swiftly, and escalate when necessary to maintain service quality.

Wie du dich einbringst

• Vorbereitung, Konzeptionierung, Anpassung und Durchführung von Trainingsmaßnahmen, als Online- oder Live-Kurs bei Bedarf auch außerhalb des Heimatstandortes Frankfurt
• Einsatz und Nutzung diverser Tools nach "Best Fit" System (z.B. Teams, Miro, Synthesia, Camtasia), Entwicklung von Online-Lerneinheiten (Quick-Clicks, Online-Courses) inkl. Ton- und Videoaufnahmen
• Enge Zusammenarbeit mit allen operativen Abteilungen zur Aktualisierung vorhandener und Erkennen und Entwicklung neuer Trainingsinhalte. Enger Austausch mit dem Optimization-Team zum frühzeitigen Erkennen erforderlicher Trainingsbedarfe
• Übersetzung von Lerninhalten (Englisch – Deutsch) aus dem Corporate-Trainingsteam, Abstimmung mit dem deutschen Air Logistics Systems Bereich (Adaption auf die deutsche Systemlandschaft und Gegebenheiten)
• Anlage und Update von Kursen und Lerneinheiten im Learning Management System, Seminar-Administration
• Vorbereitung und Begleitung interner und externer Audits, Überarbeitung, Korrektur und Erstellung von Arbeitsanweisungen im System
• Pflege und Ausbau der Intranet-Seite des Trainingsteams
• Projektbezogene Ausarbeitung von Konzepten neuer Inhalte, zusammen mit internen, operativen Abteilungen im gesamten Air Logistics Umfeld

Was dich auszeichnet

• Erfolgreich abgeschlossene Ausbildung im Bereich Speditions- und Logistikdienstleistung oder eine vergleichbare Qualifikation
• Berufserfahrung in der Luftfracht
