Key Responsibilities :

Transportation Management

  • Coordinate the movement of bulk cement from the port to warehouse locations.
  • Manage company-owned tankers and liaise with third-party transport providers for deliveries and collections.
  • Schedule and monitor the dispatch of cement and finished goods (bricks and blocks) to customers and internal

sites.

  • Ensure all transportation activities comply with safety, legal, and company standards.
  • Warehouse & Inventory Coordination

  • Oversee inventory levels at all cement storage locations and maintain accurate stock records.

    Our client is a leading distributor of hardware to the Architectural Aluminium industry in South African and they are looking for a Logistics Manager to join their team as soon as possible.

    JOB DESCRIPTION:

    MAIN DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Managing staff and vehicles
    • Route planning
    • Sending vehicles for services
    • Buying of vehicles
    • Logistics qualification
    • Transport budgets
    • Picking and packing stock

    EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS:

    • Matric
    • Logistics, Supply Chain or Fleet/Transport related tertiary qualification (advantage)

    EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS REQUIRED:

    • 3 – 5 Years’ Logistics / Warehousing experience, preferably in a supervisory or management role
    • Proven leadership and team management skills are essential, especially for overseeing logistics teams
    • Strong verbal and written communication skills are necessary for interacting with various stakeholders
    • The ability to identify and resolve issues that arise in the logistics process
    • Effective time management, prioritization, and organizational skills
