About the role
We’re looking for a driven Logistics Lead to join our team at the Welshpool Facility , supporting the efficient flow of goods and services to our Australia West Assets operations. Reporting to the Transport Manager , you’ll play a key role in coordinating the receipt, storage, and transportation of materials, ensuring operational requirements are met safely and effectively. This is a collaborative role where your focus on efficiency and accuracy will contribute directly to the success of our logistics operations.
In this role, you will:
- Coordinate Thiess logistics objectives on time and within budget
- Ensure all necessary records are collated and filed in accordance with company policy, PMP, statutory, and contractual requirements
- Seek quotes from relevant suppliers in line with policy
- Raise rental requests
- Submit and review compliance inspection forms
- Preview off-hire charges
- Raise TRF to facilitate transport of assets to site
- Liaise with Australia West Region Projects to ascertain timeframes for arrival of goods and components
- Coordinate transportation and delivery solutions to ensure reliable and consistent transport
- Prepare manifests for freight services loaded and dispatched from the Welshpool facility
- Maintain data and records relevant to the processing of parts carried out by the distribution team
- Provide administrative support for the Australia West Assets Teams
- Manage cash forecasts, month-end transaction processing, and reporting
- Ensure all department cost coding & JDE entries are timely and correct
- Utilize relevant systems to enter daily production and timesheet data, validate, and generate reports as required
About you
- 3+ years in a similar role supporting a busy logistics and distribution team
- Experience in the mining industry is desirable
- JDE experience is advantageous
- Strong planning and organizing skills
- Analytical and strategic thinking abilities
- Ability to work within a team and be flexible with a “can-do” attitude
