Role Overview

We are seeking a highly experienced and strategic SAP EWM/WM Manager to lead the design, implementation, and optimization of SAP Extended Warehouse Management (EWM) or Warehouse Management (WM) solutions. This role requires deep expertise in warehouse operations, solution architecture, and performance management. The ideal candidate will be responsible for driving end-to-end SAP EWM/WM implementations, leading cross-functional teams, and ensuring alignment with business goals.

Key Responsibilities
  • Solution Architecture & Design: Develop and own the SAP EWM/WM solution architecture aligned with business requirements. Translate complex warehouse management processes into scalable SAP solutions. Ensure integration with other SAP modules and third-party systems.
  • Implementation Leadership: Lead SAP EWM/WM implementation projects from initiation to go-live. Manage cross-functional teams including consultants, developers, and business stakeholders. Oversee configuration, testing, training, and change management activities.
  • System Configuration & Optimization: Configure SAP EWM/WM modules to support inbound, outbound, internal warehouse processes, and inventory management. Optimize system performance and user experience through continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Warehouse Process Expertise: Provide expert knowledge of warehouse operations including receiving, putaway, picking, packing, shipping, and inventory control. Collaborate with operations teams to align system capabilities with operational needs.
  • Performance Management: Define and implement key warehouse performance metrics (KPIs). Analyze data to identify trends, inefficiencies, and opportunities for improvement. Implement reporting tools and dashboards to support decision-making.
Qualifications & Experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Information Systems, or related field.
  • Minimum of 6 –10 years of experience in SAP EWM or SAP WM implementation and configuration.
  • Proven experience in leading SAP projects and managing implementation teams.
  • Strong understanding of warehouse management processes and best practices.
  • Experience with SAP S/4HANA is highly desirable.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills.
Preferred Skills
  • SAP certification in EWM or WM.
  • Experience with automation technologies (e.g., RF, conveyors, robotics).
  • Familiarity with Agile or hybrid project methodologies.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

Our client, a leader in the automotive component manufacturing sector, is currently looking to employ a Supply Chain Coordinator based in Elandsfontein, East Rand, Gauteng.

Requirements:

  • Diploma in Supply Chain or related fields (NQF 6).
  • Up to 5 years’ experience in Supply Chain in a Manufacturing Environment.
  • Computer Literacy (MS Office Suite; and other job-specific software systems).

Responsibilities and expectations but not limited to:

Supply Chain Coordination Responsibilities

  • Receive and record warehouse stock using SAP; manage accurate distribution across departments.
  • Oversee inventory operations including stock counts, deliveries, damage control, and redundant stock management.
  • Monitor consignment stock and maintain supply integrity.
  • Create and process purchase requisitions; ensure accurate item coding on SAP.
  • Prepare and submit periodic reports for senior management.
  • Administer supply chain tasks efficiently and within deadlines.
  • Manage supplier quotations and approval processes.
  • Schedule and communicate daily driver and messenger activities.
  • Organize staff training, meetings, and compile meeting minutes.
  • Coordinate the check-and-charge process and maintain clean data systems for retrieval.

Compliance

  • Adhere to internal controls and procedures to uphold company integrity.
  • Identify and report risks or concerns to departmental management.
  • Ensure full compliance with relevant regulations and policies.
  • Maintain accurate documentation and records for auditing and operational transparency.
  • Monitor costs and expenditure to minimize waste and avoid irregular spending.

Customer Service

  • Foster strong relationships with internal and external customers to ensure high service standards.
  • Represent the company professionally in stakeholder meetings and engagements.
  • Resolve issues creatively with integrity, aligned to company values.
  • Promote client, customer, and employee satisfaction across touchpoints.
  • Minimize service discrepancies and ensure regulatory compliance.

Staff Supervision

  • Ensure performance contracts are signed and implemented for all employees.
  • Conduct quarterly performance appraisals and track individual objectives.
  • Collaborate with HR to identify development goals and create action plans.
  • Facilitate ongoing training and employee development initiatives.
  • Address employee relations matters fairly, promptly, and in line with HR procedures.
  • Gather and respond to employee feedback to improve workplace engagement.

Cost and Financial Control

  • Assist with budget planning and provide timely input.
  • Promote efficient, cost-effective use of financial and operational resources.
  • Monitor expenditure to ensure compliance with budgetary limits and financial policies.
  • Identify and implement cost-saving opportunities.
  • Ensure adherence to financial regulations and procedures; report deviations as needed.

This position reports to the Supply Chain Analytics Manager.

Your responsibilities will include but not limited to:

  • Providing high quality analysis to the Supply Chain Development team working across all Supply Chain projects
  • Enhancement of existing volume and capacity forecast models
  • On-going alignment with Retail department on stock cover and related issues
  • Providing inputs for the further development of Supply Chain network model and strategy
  • Bridging gap between problems cases and data, from multiple data inputs and systems
  • Identify areas of the business where data and metrics are needed to better understand and improve result

Attributes required:

  • High level of proficiency with MS Office packages with proven advanced proficiency in Excel
  • Proficiency in Data Analysis and using statistical methods in R and Python
  • Competence in SQL or other database software
  • Competence in Data Visualization software
  • Competence working with AI models & prompt engineering.
  • Numerate with strong computer literacy and great analytical and problem solving skills
  • Proven ability to work to stringent deadlines
  • Excellent work ethic and ability to multitask
  • Ability to identify problems, demonstrate the use of initiative and implement appropriate solutions
  • Ability to understand supply chain issues and drive solutions
  • Ability to prioritize, manage and complete projects under a deadline

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s Degree required in Statistics & Computer Science, Applied Mathematics, Data Science or similar
  • Minimum of 3 years within a Data Analytics role preferably in Supply Chain within the retail/ecommerce industry or similar
  • Minimum of 3 years experience using statistical methods (regression, forecasting and modeling) in Python and R.
  • Minimum 2 years experience using data visualization tools such as PowerBI, Qlik, Tableau and Looker
  • Minimum 3 years SQL scripting experience
