- Agricultural Diploma/Degree
- Min of 10 years previous farm management experience
- Previous experience with livestock (game & small stock)
- Manage general maintenance of tractors and farm related implements
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Strong proven management skills
- Computer literate
- Mechanically and maintenance orientated
- Valid drivers license

RESPONSIBILITIES
- To manage and maintain the farm with thatched houses, establish a vegetable garden, propagate ornamental plants and fruit trees, care for the lawns and all other plants.
- Furthermore, slaughter and process meat for home consumption, including game.
- Process homegrown produce.
- Tend to livestock and honey bees.
- Order animal food, supplements and medicines when needed.
- Maintain fences, machinery, equipment, solar system, boreholes, swimming pool and vehicles, e.g. make sure they are serviced by the relevant professionals.
- Make routine purchases for the farm and keep day to day books of expenditures.
- We are not expecting the applicant to have all the afore mentioned individual skills, but it is fully expected that all machinery, equipment, solar system, boreholes, pool and vehicles are properly maintained by the relevant professionals, if it cannot be done in-house.
- Manage all the staff, except the 2 domestic workers.
- Look after the dogs, if the owners are absent.
