About the Role:
We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Line Supervisor to lead and manage daily operations on the production line. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining workflow efficiency, ensuring product quality, and supervising a team of production in a clothing environment.
Key Responsibilities:

PACKING LINE SUPERVISOR
Reporting to the Packing Manager, the successful candidate will be based at our Melpack Packhouse in the Grabouw area. The position requires a pro-active and well-organized individual, ensuring an effective and efficient packing function by optimizing the use of resources and meeting production objectives.
Responsibilities:
- Monitor effective fruit grading and packing procedures per specific market standards.
- Ensure correct working methods and procedures are adhered to with regards to food safety (BRC and HACCP).
- Report relevant production information to assist management in taking well informed decisions.
- Minimize downtime through effective planning and communication.
- Lead and develop a team of ±20 workers
Requirements:
- Grade 12 (Tertiary qualification in Production Management or similar qualification will be advantageous)
- Minimum of 2 years' relevant experience in a production environment- preferably in a Fruit Packing operation.
- Knowledge and understanding of fruit quality standards, customer specifications and packing machinery.
- Must have managed and lead a small team of workers
- Must be computer literate
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Must be flexible and work nightshift, public holidays, weekends and overtime if required

The Production Supervisor oversees daily operations within the Deboning Hall ensuring that production target, quality standards, safety protocols and regulatory compliance are consistently met. This role requires strong leadership, attention to detail and a deep understanding of meat processing techniques and food safety standards.
Requirements:
