We are seeking an experienced Machine Shop Supervisor to oversee day-to-day operations in our CNC machining department. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in CNC machining, team leadership, and shop floor management.

• Supervise and coordinate the activities of CNC machinists, operators, and general workshop staff.
• Plan, prioritize, and schedule machining operations to meet production targets and deadlines.
• Ensure quality control standards and safety protocols are strictly followed.
• Train and mentor team members in machining techniques and CNC operations.
• Collaborate with the engineering and production departments to optimize processes and resolve technical issues.
• Monitor machine performance, carry out basic troubleshooting, and liaise with maintenance as required.
• Implement continuous improvement initiatives to reduce downtime, waste, and production costs.
• Maintain accurate production records and report to senior management.

Minimum Requirements

• Matric / Grade 12 Certificate.
• Minimum of 5 years CNC machining experience (Milling & Turning), with at least 2 years in a supervisory role.
• Solid understanding of tooling, and setups.
• Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and machining tolerances.
• Familiarity with ISO standards and health & safety regulations.

The Shift Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the processing laboratory during their assigned shift. This includes supervising employees, ensuring compliance with policies and procedures, and maintaining the highest standards of product quality and safety.
