The SAP Asset Management Consultant is responsible for managing the full lifecycle of physical assets—such as plants, machinery, and infrastructure—through SAP’s Enterprise Asset Management (EAM) solutions. Job Summary:


The SAP Asset Management Consultant is responsible for managing the full lifecycle of physical assets—such as plants, machinery, and infrastructure—through SAP’s Enterprise Asset Management (EAM) solutions. This role ensures effective implementation of maintenance strategies, reduces operational downtime, and enhances asset reliability and compliance using tools such as SAP PM and SAP Asset Manager.

Key Responsibilities:


  • Configure and implement SAP EAM modules, especially Plant Maintenance (PM).

  • Manage and maintain asset master data with accurate classifications and hierarchies.

  • Plan and schedule preventive, corrective, and predictive maintenance tasks.

  • Collaborate with operations, maintenance, engineering, and finance teams to align business needs with technical solutions.

  • Analyze asset performance and generate operational reports using SAP tools.

  • Integrate SAP EAM with other modules such as FI, MM, SD, and QM.

  • Support mobile asset management using SAP Asset Manager and related applications.

  • Ensure compliance with environmental, health, safety (EHS), and regulatory standards.

  • Provide end-user training and ongoing support for EAM-related processes.

  • Stay updated with SAP S/4HANA and Intelligent Asset Management capabilities.


Required Skills and Qualifications:


  • Strong knowledge and hands-on experience with SAP EAM and PM modules.

  • Familiarity with SAP S/4HANA and SAP Intelligent Asset Management tools.

  • Experience with mobile asset management platforms like SAP Asset Manager.

  • In-depth understanding of maintenance strategies and asset lifecycle processes.

  • Strong analytical skills for asset performance monitoring and risk-based planning.

  • Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.

  • SAP certification in Plant Maintenance or Asset Management is highly desirable.


Preferred Skills:


  • Knowledge of SAP Fiori apps for maintenance management.

  • Experience in industries such as Utilities, Oil & Gas, Manufacturing, or Transportation.

Our client is a major league Asset Management business that has achieved enormous growth in recent years. To this extent they have built up a robust Operations team – they now have an opening for an Operations Analyst to come in an add value to the core functioning of the engine-room of the business.

The Operations team works closely with the Portfolio Managers, Distribution Team, Risk Team, the Trading Desk and external service providers on a day-to-day basis in order to achieve the highest level of impact to the business from utilising our combined knowledge base and skill as a team.

The role requires a deep understanding of financial markets and instruments, contribute and promote robust operating procedures to create an efficient, responsive and process driven Operations team. The Operations Analyst will report to the Head of Investment Operations who reports into the Chief Operating Officer.
Main duties and responsibilities:
Process:
o Contribute to and promote robust operating procedures across the investment management business to create an efficient, responsive and process driven Operations team.
o Improve business understanding of operations processes and procedures.
o Establish and promote enhanced business processes that ensure efficient and effective stakeholder delivery within set expectations and agreed performance standards in the area of accountability and the overall optimisation of the value chain for the business, including:
Performance of reconciliations.
Exception handling. Investigation of significant variances and effective resolution of reconciliation breaks and ad hoc challenges.
Monitoring of the operations mailbox and timeous execution of stakeholder requests.
Take responsibility for daily operational activities.
Liaise with stakeholders, run daily operational activities, receive and execute requests timeously.
Ensure timeous and correct recording of transactions.
Liaise with stakeholders to keep them fully appraised of the progress of queries.
o Reconciliation of trade and fund dealing activity, corporate action and Proxy voting management, cash management and spot FX instruction, reconciliation of cash, positions and performance.
People:
o Share and transfer product, process and systems knowledge to colleagues.
o Collaborate and work with internal teams to deliver required service levels.
o Ensure achievement of own performance objectives.
o Share information with other team members regarding successes, issues, trends and ideas.
o Participate in own professional development and career path.
Ideal qualifications:
B Com (Hons) preferred or appropriate finance qualification.
Ideal experience:
5 years of experience in related role within an Asset Management business
Experience with reconciliations and cash management.
Relevant computer skills and system experience.
Experience in a programming language would be advantageous, but not required.
Knowledge of working with custodians would be advantageous.
Relevant market knowledge.

Financial reporting of assets: Monitor the monthly reconciliations of assets and monitor the proper accounting of assets to the quarterly IFS and AFS. Management of staff: Monitor staff performance and development plans, monitor staff leave plans, monitor staff disciplinary and grievance matters and allocate and distribute functions to staff.

To drive the acquisition, retention, and growth of off-balance sheet cash and liquidity management solutions (unit trusts) by delivering exceptional client service, identifying sales opportunities, and supporting the strategic objectives of the Cash Solutions business. The role contributes to Nedbank’s ambition of being the most admired bank by offering innovative, client-centric solutions that complement the broader Nedgroup Investments and Nedbank Group offerings.

Job Responsibilities
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities across multiple channels.
