Responsibilities:

• Responsible for all leasing functions, including reviewing and negotiating lease transactions and agreements
• Liaise with tenants regarding negotiations and leasing concerns
• Prepare and update leasing schedules
• Contact landlords 3 months in advance of lease renewals to receive renewal offers from landlords to commence negotiations
• Consistently scout for new sites and negotiate relevant deals associated with potential new stores or relocation of existing stores
• Ensure board approvals on leasing decisions from landlords and Franchisor on behalf of Franchisees
• Liaise with the legal division on lease agreements and ensure sign-off on agreements from the legal division
• Review lease agreements for final approval
• Responsible for the productivity and budgetary performance of the leasing operations department
• Monitor leasing trends of competitors in the marketplace to ensure the company is positioned correctly for the future
• Report on current deals, progress or status of deals, terms, updates, and approvals
• Produce quarterly cost-saving reports to central finance for review and collaboration

Reputable property management company situated in Umhlanga, Durban seeks an experienced Retail Leasing Manager for a 12 month contract.

Incumbent is responsible for all leasing functions, which includes reviewing and negotiating lease transactions, renewals and agreements. Also, maintaining occupancy of the retail spaces to sustain and expand market share.

Candidate must have at least 4–5 years retail leasing experience with a track record of achieving retail leasing with national, international or niche tenants and full knowledge of FICA requirements.

Must have relevant qualifications required in terms of the PPRA (Property Practitioners Regulatory Authority) and hold FFC (Fidelity Fund Certificate).

• Support the leasing strategy and the direction of multiple projects
