We're seeking a Project Landscape Architect or a Landscape Architect looking to progress to the next level to join our team in Altrincham, Greater Manchester, one of our five studios in the UK.
We have developed within Greater Manchester, and the Altrincham studio is the practice's headquarters. Whether working with the communities of East Manchester to create a district of global significance, or striving to repair our beloved hometown of Altrincham, we are part of the city and its growing creative community.
We've designed new city centre squares, public realm and connecting streetscapes at First Street North and within the Co-operative's historic estate at Sadler's Yard, NOMA. We are redesigning Albert Square, the city's primary public space in the Town Hall's foreground, and were co-masterplanners and Landscape Architects for Circle Square, the new mixed-use redevelopment of the former BBC site at the heart of the City's Corridor initiative. Our work extends widely throughout the surrounding region, from urban to rural environs, developing opportunities for community benefit and reconnection to nature including Northern Roots, the UK's largest urban farm and eco-park project in Greater Manchester. To Qualify For This Position, You'll
- have at least 4 years of post-graduate experience working in a creative practice
- have experience of successfully delivering landscape projects from inception to completion
- have experience of managing workloads and mentoring less experience colleagues
- possess a post-graduate qualification in Landscape Architecture or recognised equivalent
- be a Chartered Member of the Landscape Institute
- be self-motivated, engaged and creative

Planit is an urban and rural design practice, working to benefit people, places, and the world at large. We are an interdisciplinary studio, practicing across Landscape Architecture, Urban Design and Visual Storytelling across projects of all scales and sectors.
We're seeking a Principal or Associate Landscape Architect to join our team in Liverpool, one of our five studios in the UK.
Our established studio in Liverpool is situated on the waterfront at The Royal Albert Dock. We've developed within the city and its growing creative community and are proud to be playing our part in shaping how it evolves for future generations. Having recently completed Everton's Hill Dickinson Stadium, we're now focussing on designing and delivering some of the most exciting and high-profile projects in the city. Central Park and its surrounding streets and public spaces within Liverpool Waters is starting on site and will be under construction for the next couple of years. We are giving both the Liverpool One estate and our home at The Royal Albert Dock a 'deep green retrofit 'and we continue to develop our presence over the water in Birkenhead and the wider Liverpool City Region where we are involved in some significant and transformational regeneration projects. The Senior Urban Planning Manager is responsible for directing and managing these processes, with careful consideration of the V&A Waterfront’s unique zoning rights, relevant planning legislation, and both local and provincial policy documents.Key responsibilities include ongoing liaison with authorities and consultants, as well as the management of multi-disciplinary professional teams throughout the life cycle of development projects. Together with the Urban Planning Director, the Senior Urban Planning Manager is also tasked with establishing and maintaining robust systems for managing the company’s planning information and documentation, essential for both internal and external assessments. Job Objectives:
Manage Development Planning
- Assess the company’s strategic and spatial planning objectives in collaboration with the Urban Planning Director
- Collectively and collaboratively implement development vision for the Waterfront
- Analyze and review planning and related matters regarding proposed, current and past projects
- Establish, prepare and manage planning, heritage and environmental development controls and applications

Project Management
- Coordinate, manage and review planning inputs and workflows for development approval processes

Monitoring Planning and Development
- Monitor on-gong V&A planning requirements and obligations with regard to V&A development rights, e.g., Heritage Conservation Management Plan, Bulk Register
- Monitor and review general development and spatial planning issues impacting on the V&A
- Prepare and submit reports on a) planning applications affecting the V&A and b) development issues, policies and spatial plans
- Monitor and review local and provincial planning legislation, policies, development plans and frameworks and potential impacts on V&A projects
Technical Resources & Support

Educational Requirements:
