Are you an organised and enthusiastic Science Lab Technician looking to play a vital role in a thriving secondary school?
A well-established and forward-thinking secondary school in Newham is seeking a dedicated Lab Technician to support the delivery of outstanding science education across Key Stages 3 to 5.
Key Responsibilities:
Prepare and set up equipment and materials for science practical lessons
Maintain laboratories, equipment, and chemical stock levels in line with health and safety regulations
Support teaching staff in delivering engaging and safe science experiments
Ensure proper disposal of waste and safe storage of hazardous materials
Assist in the organisation of science resources and displays
The Ideal Candidate Will Have:
Previous experience working in a school or laboratory environment (desirable but not essential)
A science-related qualification (A-level or higher preferred)
Good understanding of health and safety practices in a lab setting
Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
A proactive, team-focused attitude with a willingness to learn
