Duties & Responsibilities

- Full accounting function
- Responsible for journals and inter-group reallocations and reconciliation.
- Interpreting and analysing financial data and comparing monthly turnovers
- Invoicing and reconciliation to ensure outstanding orders for internal- and external customers
- Supporting the warehouse function concerning Good Received Notes (GRN)
- Maintain and demonstrate a good understanding of accounting controls by following the Company’s policies and procedures.

- Reconcile work in progress (WIP) accounts to ensure financial accuracy.

Desired Experience & Qualification

• Must have a minimum of 2 years experience as a Junior Accountant within a Finance Department
• BCom Management Accounting | BCom Financial Accounting | Relevant Tertiary Education required
• Proficient in SAGE Pastel essential
• Proficient in Afrikaans and English
• Strong Knowledge of Creditors | Journals | Reconciliations | VAT & PAYE Submissions
• Valid Driver's License and own Transport required
• Contactable References and Payslips required

• Basic Salary of up to R 22 000 negotiable based on experience

• Matric is essential
• Relevant qualification in Fashion Merchandising, Retail Management, Business Administration or Marketing is beneficial

• Set and revise inventory and financial parameters, including budgets for sales, margin and OTB.
• Capture market and store trends and work closely with the Buying Team to drive a compelling assortment for our Retail doors to maximize.
• Analyze product performance and identify seasonal non-selling items to load on markdown system using Dolphin system.
• Always make sure that the stores are fully stocked on new items and always have the correct size curves.
• Plan product consolidations to move stock between stores.
• Set up and monitor weekly sales category report to identify progress of each category as well as making sure that stock is still in-line.
• Re-trend sales forecast for in-season based on current sales trend in store.
• Work closely with Buying and Marketing Team to identify slow selling lines and overstocked categories to push promotion activity to maximize sales.
• Present bi-weekly style card product performance to identify best-selling styles and poor sellers in-season.
• Allocate stock in time to the correct stores and allow smooth transitioning between campaigns, flows and seasons.
• Constant monitoring and evaluation of stores and stock performance in line with allocation strategies.
• Set up post-seasonal reports to report on past season performance, sales vs stock, full price items vs markdowns by category.
• Liaise with Buying Team on product performance and make sure that stock is still on time / react to stock when needed.

• Develop and maintain software applications across multiple languages and platforms.
• Assist in writing clean, efficient, and maintainable code.
• Collaborate with senior developers, QA, and business stakeholders to deliver functional solutions.
• Troubleshoot and debug applications, assisting in problem resolution.
• Contribute to software design discussions and propose innovative solutions.

• Proficiency in Java, Python, or C#
• Experience with TypeScript, Angular, or Next.js
• 23 years of professional software development experience
• Relevant tertiary qualification in Computer Science, IT, or a related field
• Basic understanding of databases and SQL
• Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies is a plus

Key Responsibilities:

• Maintain daily cashbook entries and perform accurate bank reconciliations.
• Process supplier and customer accounts, including invoices, payments, and queries.

• Reconcile control accounts (debtors, creditors, VAT) and assist with audits.

• Diploma in Financial Accounting, Management Accounting, or Financial Management.

• Minimum of 3 years hands-on bookkeeping, accounting, or financial administration experience.

• Experience with ERP systems such as SAP, Sage, Pastel, Embrace, or similar.
• Strong attention to detail, multitasking, and organizational skills.

Responsibilities include:

• Arranging sign-offs and lab dips from China, ensuring ship and delivery dates are aligned

• Managing bulk sampling timelines to ensure on-time delivery

• Raising and processing fabric orders to China / suppliers

• Tracking fabric shipments out of China

• Monitoring fit-by and seal-by dates to ensure deadlines are met

Requirements:

• Matric

• Must have costing experience

• Understanding of garment rating and fabric bases

• Knowledge of garment construction (advantageous)

• Ability to run cost sheets on SYNC

• Good understanding of production processes

• Strong computer literacy (spreadsheets, email, buyer / planner communication, follow-ups)

• Excellent communication and coordination skills

• Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines

• Prepare monthly management reports
• Generate and submit invoices to clients timeously and follow up on outstanding payments
• Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable
• Assist with annual audit processes and liaise with auditors
• Perform balance sheet reconciliations
• Handle treasury management including daily, weekly, and monthly cash flow planning
• Record and reconcile transactions between operational and finance systems
• Identify and correct financial discrepancies post-deadline where necessary
• Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and preparation of financial schedules
• Ensure accuracy, consistency, and attention to detail in all financial processes

• Matric (NQF 4) essential
• Certificate in Bookkeeping or Accounting essential
• Relevant undergraduate qualification advantageous
• Completed accounting articles (SAIPA / SAICA) advantageous
• Bookkeeping to trial balance
• Experience handling local and foreign currencies (USD & ZMW)
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
