We are seeking a skilled and motivated Middleweight OSS (Network Operations Engineer) to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for supporting our operational support systems, with a specific focus on CRM and Fusion Middleware technologies. You will ensure the performance, stability, and security of our network operations while collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver exceptional service.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Monitor, troubleshoot, and maintain network operations, ensuring optimal performance and reliability.
  • Provide support for CRM and Fusion Middleware applications, including Oracle WebLogic and Oracle Fusion Middleware.
  • Manage and support Oracle WebCenter Content Management and its integration with existing systems.
  • Configure and maintain IBM WebSphere Portal, IBM MQ, and IBM LDAP to support business operations.
  • Implement and manage Kafka for real-time data streaming and integration.

Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • 3-5 years of experience in network operations engineering, with a focus on OSS.
  • Strong knowledge and experience with Oracle WebLogic, Oracle Fusion Middleware, and Oracle WebCenter Content Management.
  • Familiarity with IBM WebSphere Portal, IBM MQ, and IBM LDAP.

Purpose of the position: We are looking for an Operations Director to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for leading the operational planning, implementation, and evaluation of key projects and operational output areas.As well as, staff management within the ECD school centres and offices. The role is pivotal to managing the operational tasks within ECD and to ensure a broader alignment and impact on SPAC ECD schools as well as on Government related projects.

Country: Cape Town, South Africa

Working Conditions: The incumbent will be required to travel between Cape Town and Congo. Working at our offices in Brazzaville when travelling to Congo, as well as spending time in villages in the Odzala Kokoua and Nouabale-Ndoki National Parks will be essential.

Minimum Qualifications: Advanced Diploma to Postgraduate Degree in Business Administration or Operations Management.

Experience: Strong leadership background and team management of 5-10 years. Project Management and Operational Management experience of 5 to 10 years. Experience in an NPO is beneficial. Sound understanding of the Educational environment is advantageous.

Excellent Written and Verbal Language: English and French essential. Speaking Lingala will be advantageous.

  14. Ensure end-to-end resolution of operational client requests, including structural changes, product coding, and data quality issues, with direct client communication.
  15. Utilize operational tools (Epics, OGRDS, Brandbank, etc.) for investigations and verifications.
  16. Deliver solutions timely, encouraging self-serve, ensuring request validity, and understanding client requirements in depth.
  17. Coordinate feasibility studies, define solutions, and liaise with billing teams for pricing.
  18. Convert client needs into internal work orders, monitor execution, and communicate progress.
  19. Provide support for dataset availability in Configuration Manager when live.
  20. Own resolution of data quality issues, methodology questions, and unusual trends, coordinating with Data Ops as needed.
  21. Update or create process documentation and knowledge articles as required.
  22. Minimum of 2-3 years in client-facing operational roles, with higher education or equivalent experience.
  23. Possess operational skills, technical understanding, industry knowledge, relationship management, analytical skills, and proficiency in Excel.
