A respected employer is seeking a highly competent Instructor III to join their underground division across various sites, where they will play a vital role in enabling service delivery and supporting operational excellence.

In this role, the successful candidate will lead the technical support of underground blasting operations, provide hands-on training, and ensure both quality control and equipment maintenance standards are upheld.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Deliver training to mine personnel on emulsion technology and blasting techniques
  • Lead a team in underground emulsion blasting operations
  • Conduct equipment testing and ensure quality assurance of products
  • Maintain and repair emulsion charging equipment
  • Support daily underground charging operations
  • Conduct inspections and ensure compliance with SHERQ requirements
  • Manage quality control in underground storage and blasting sites
  • Provide technical support in line with blast design specifications
Requirements:
  • Grade 12 with Mathematics
  • Minimum 3 years experience in underground explosives mining
  • 2 years experience in mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical maintenance
  • Competency A & B and blasting assistant competency
  • Code 10 Drivers Licence
  • Strong business acumen and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and numerical skills
  • Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
