Responsibilities- The key purpose of this role is the management of all Finished Goods (FG) inventory within the logistics supply chain, ensuring product quality standards are met and in compliance with all inventory governance processes and controls. All physical movement of inventory is correctly reflected in SAP; inventory differences are investigated, resolved, and reported.
- FG Quality Management: adhere to FG inventory quality fundamentals standards as per DPO & VPO requirements.
- FG Inventory is accurately blocked in SAP with a physical blocking mechanism in place as per VPO/DPO standards for quality-related and obsolescence stock.
- Ensure compliance with the freshness and rotation policy as per VPO & DPO standards.
- Inventory counts are recorded accurately with quantities and BBD x SKU; bin cards clearly displayed as per DPO & VPO standards.
- Inventory concession policy applied and approved as per VPO product age standards.
- FG Inventory is accurately blocked in SAP with a physical blocking mechanism in place as per VPO/DPO standards for quality-related and obsolescence stock.
- All FG salvages are repacked as per VPO & DPO standards.
- All obsolescence stock is decanted as per standard policy and procedure Inventory Management.
- Independent inventory counts conducted on all FG Inventory reconciled to SAP inventory. Count differences identified, investigated, resolved, and reported. Unresolved differences escalated to BLM/DCLM & RLM with commentary and action plans.
- Breakages, Obsolescence & Salvage stock are signed-off and processed in SAP accurately.
- All daily controls, open shipments for T1 & T2 are reviewed and resolved. All claims are processed timeously with signed-off backup documentation and SAB re-imbursed.
- POC & T2 driver route settlement corrections reviewed, approved and signed-off.
- SCO BUD vs ACT costs are monitored with gaps and action plans reports.Fleet Expenditure Against the Budget: Governance and Risk.
- All documentation signed off by relevant persons, filed and securely stored as per Inventory Control Policy – Inventory stock & T2 shipment packs, gate register, etc.
- Security cameras in key points on site and random verification conducted.
- 3 Point independent checks are conducted on all T1 & T2 shipments for departure & arrival; random checks conducted to ensure compliance.
- All physical movements of FG Inventory are transacted in SAP accurately. T1 & T2 movements, packaging receipts validated by line counters; write-offs are verified against signed-off documentation & gate sheets.

This role focuses on multivariate forecasting, demand sensing, data readiness, change management, and IBP transformation initiatives to eliminate parallel demand planning processes and stabilize APO as the interim forecasting solution.
About The FunctionOur Supply Chain and Manufacturing teams solve problems to source, produce, and deliver our brands globally. The function comprises a large, collaborative network across 100 sites in over 30 countries, working to realise the Society 2030 goals and support farmers and suppliers within an inclusive culture.
About The RoleThe OMP Advanced Analyst is a key role within the i-IBP implementation of the Advanced demand planning system OMP. The role will, based on business processes and requirements, understand multivariate forecasting, build block management, and utilize demand sensing to aid users and remove obstacles to efficient tool utilization. The Demand Planning Analyst and Change Management Specialist will ensure that data structures and integration requirements for the multivariate forecast process are understood (including CPG structures, sales history, SIT, depletion, market share, category growth, price elasticity history, historical promotions, OOS). The analyst, with the OMP Adoption Manager, will promote adoption of the tool as the single demand planning solution and eliminate parallel processes. They will also support regional readiness, APO adoption pre-work, and data consolidation/prepare data for readiness. They will drive IBP transformation initiatives, process improvements, and planning operational excellence, supporting eradication of parallel demand planning and stabilization of APO as the interim forecast solution.
Top Accountabilities
Demand Planning Analyst aspect:
- Understand the current APO system configuration of CPG, hierarchies, and sales organization; support adoption efforts as part of OMP readiness.
- Identify and coordinate with business teams to correct sales history to enable use of sell-in history in OMP.
- Collaborate with OMP experts to understand ML and statistical forecast algorithms.
- Support system developments and new statistical model rollouts.
- Test and report errors and areas for improvement (deltas vs global design).
- Serve as a key contact for technical errors and system issue resolution.
- Run multiple user test cases as part of design and user acceptance testing.
- Understand interfaces with multiple Diageo systems.
- Contribute to regional data strategy with the OMP platform lead.
- Provide hands-on support during hyper-care post-implementation and BAU support for key markets in the region.
- Prepare data for market readiness (sell-in, sell-out, stock in trade, promotions, media spend, innovations).
- Acquire and disseminate system knowledge through training and close monitoring of modelling work; test the system as needed.
- Support end-user training and act as the first line IT/OMP help desk during and after Go Live acceptance.
Change Management Aspect
- Facilitate the markets’ transition to the new way of working by addressing operational barriers to change and IBP adoption, driving the expected improvements.
- Engage interdisciplinary teams with targeted communications and proactive involvement in change milestones.
- Create control mechanisms to monitor, register, and communicate all activities effectively.
- Ensure key program artifacts are in place, including project charters, integrated plans, risk registers, scorecards, reports, and health checks.
- Keep all stakeholders informed and involved according to the plan, including market steer-co meetings, market execution team meetings, executive review meetings, global IBP governance, and HR/organization health checks.
Experience / Skills Required
- Baseline understanding of end-to-end Supply Chain Planning processes (supply planning, distribution requirements planning, inventory planning, conversion, logistics, procurement, customer service).
- Proficiency in statistics and forecasting methodologies with awareness of their financial and operational impacts.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and decision-making skills.
- Good verbal, written, and presentation communication skills.
- Proficient in MS applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook).
- Self-confidence and process orientation; ability to build future demand tools and processes; passion for data, with data analysis and reporting skills.
Previous Successful Experience
- Experience in Demand and/or Supply Chain Planning within the Consumer Packaged Goods industry preferred.
- Experience with advanced planning software for supply planning (SAP APO, BI/BW/Power BI).
- Hands-on experience of Demand Analytics, analyzing demand performance and trends, including marketing and sales activity impact (e.g., pricing), informing current and future demand plans.
- Experience with IBP in a similar role and/or business to support current challenges.
- Ability to manage a change management process to ensure market adoption of IBP, aligning with Diageo principles and resources.
- Hands-on planning experience in IBP, S&OP, S&OE, and Demand Planning.
- Significant experience in Project Management and Change Management.

- Identification and follow-through with business teams of sales history corrections to ensure readiness for utilization of sell in history in OMP.
- Work collaboratively with OMP experts to understand the ML and statistical forecast algorithms.
- Support system developments and/or new statistical models rollouts.
- Test and report back on errors and areas for improvement for functionalities built (deltas vs global design)
- Becomes the key contact for technical errors and system issues resolution.
- Run multiple user test cases as part of the design and user acceptance group.
- Understand the interface with multiple systems within Diageo.
- Contribute to the development of a Data strategy for the region together with the OMP platform lead
- Hands on assistance during the hyper-care period post implementation.
- Provide continuous support during BAU for the key markets within the region.
- Hands on data preparation for market readiness (Sell in, Sell out, Stock in trade, promotions, media spend, innovation)
- Acquiring and disseminating system knowledge, thorough understanding of the system through training, by following very closely the modelling work done by the consultant(s) and by testing the system.
- Support training of the end users of the system and will often become the first line support person and contact person for help desk of OMP during and after Go Live acceptance.
Change Management aspect:
- Enable the markets to transition to the new way of working by addressing operational barriers to change and IBP adoption, ensure an adequate transition driving the expected improvement.
- Engage interdisciplinary teams by developing targeted communications and involving them proactively in the change and milestone
- Creating the control mechanisms to ensure all activities are monitored and registered and communicated effectively.
- Ensure all key program artifacts are in place including; project charters, integrated plan, risk register, scorecards, reports, and health checks.
- Ensure all stakeholders are properly informed and involved to the plan define, including:
- Market Steer-co meetings and reports
- Market Execution team meeting
- Exec review meeting
- Global IBP Governance meeting
- HR / Organization Health Check.
- Baseline understanding of the end-to-end Supply Chain Planning processes; Supply Planning, Distribution Requirements Planning, Inventory Planning, Conversion, Logistics, Procurement and Customer Service
- Demonstrated proficiency in statistics and/or forecasting methodologies with an understanding of their financial and operational impacts.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and decision-making skills.
- Good communication skills – verbal, written and presentation.
- Proficient in MS applications e.g. Excel, Word, PowerPoint , Outlook

- Working within the Demand and/or Supply Chain Planning process; Consumer Packaged Goods Industry preferred
- Experience with advanced planning software with Supply Planning (SAP APO system and Business Intelligence/BW/Power BI)
- Has practical experience of Demand Analytics, to analyze demand performance and trends, marketing, and sales activity impact (including pricing), and reach conclusions on what that might mean about current and future demand plans.
- Has practical experience of IBP in a similar role and / or business, which can be used to support the current role and challenge assumptions
- Can manage an appropriate change management process to ensure market adoption of IBP, using Diageo principles, processes, and resources, as well as their own skills, capabilities, and position.
- First hand planning experience in IBP, S&OP, S&OE, Demand Planning.
- Significant professional hands-on experience in Project Management and Change Management.
