Requirements
Experience and Qualifications
Minimum matric with exemption, including Mathematics (Pure) and Accounting/Physical Science.A
Bachelor's degree in Commerce, Mathematics, or Statistics is preferable.
2-5 years' work experience in the Insurance, Employee Benefits, or other Financial Services industry is preferable, but not a prerequisite.
Work experience in Group Risk pricing is preferable, but not a prerequisite.
Proficient in MS Word and MS Excel.
MS Access, SQL, or Visual Basic experience will be an advantage.
Duties & Responsibilities
Internal Process
Screening and analysing new and existing business pricing requests.
Gathering, assessing and analysing all relevant information needed to produce a new business tender or rate renewal.
Review existing business premium rates, terms and conditions. Compiling, analysing and monitoring claims experience for new and existing business.
Assessing and calculating the risk rate and underwriting requirements for the products requested, utilising the current pricing tools.
Determining suitable terms and conditions in order to effectively manage risk.
Extracting data from existing systems, as well as validation and manipulation of the data.
Accurate recording of data for business intelligence and reporting.
Consider wider topics of risk management such as occupational and industry risks.
Internal and external client liaison/collaboration with regards to rates, products and other risk issues.
Build and improve current models and internal processes.
Assisting with ad hoc projects and calculations, e.g. Disability buy-outs, profit sharing calculations and reinsurance comparisons.
Assist with risk calculations and provide technical support to the FundsAtWork Pricing department.
Ensure that all authorisation protocols, tools and systems are adhered to and are used correctly and effectively.
Client
Build a strong relationship with the sales channel so that existing business is retained at profitable rates while new business is secured with appropriate margins.
Build and maintain relationships with relevant organisation's to ensure in-depth knowledge of all related acts, regulations and regulatory frameworks.
Compile, monitor and deliver on service level agreements with internal and external stakeholders to meet or exceed client expectations.
Ensure satisfactory resolution of all queries and problems.
Participate in the design and application of a stakeholder feedback capability in respect of service delivery.

**What you'll be doing**
**Key Roles and Responsibilities:**
+ Assist in the ongoing development and management of the Insurance Programme to meet the evolving needs of the organisation and discharge its professional responsibilities.
+ Assist in the renewal of the annual Insurance Programme in a timely, efficient, and detailed manner. This includes sending out and the collection of renewal templates, collecting information from various functions and Units across NTT Data Inc, performing data quality checks, participating in meetings with colleagues, insurers, and insurance underwriters and focusing on continuous and efficient improvement. It includes applying reasonability tests and identifying patterns in data submitted by each Unit for renewal purposes.
+ Assist in the annual insurance premium allocation process in a timely, efficient, and detailed manner. This includes an understanding of global and local charges and the workings of the internal model, sending out allocation letters and the recovery of same, participating in meetings with colleagues, the finance department, and insurers. This includes ongoing engagement, tracking, communication and follow-up with various finance communities across NTT Data Inc.
+ Assist in updating and obtaining annual insurance documents for subsidiaries in a timely and efficient manner and where possible assisting in the review of contractual and commercial insurance obligations.
+ Assist in providing daily professional internal insurance support to NTT Data Inc with high levels of customer service, knowledge of the business and the insurance programme.
+ Provide support in effectively managing change within the business that impacts data gathering, contact points and the insurance approach through involvement in the Risk Management process, Operating Model updates and updates from the NTT Ltd. Group Executives and Management. In addition, the updating of key insurance data which supports the effectiveness and accuracy of the insurance programme is critical. This includes quarterly updates and reporting.
+ Ongoing liaison with business and NTT Data Inc chosen service provider to manage and provide and receive updates on all insurance claims and losses.
**Knowledge, Skills and Attributes:**

To perform prudential oversight of insurance companies through a combination of off-site and on-site monitoring and supervision to ensure financial soundness and sound governance of insurance entities.
Detailed description
The successful candidate will be responsible for the following key performance areas with the support of a senior analyst in discharging the following responsibilities:
- Implement supervisory plans of allocated insurers or insurance groups (i.e. insurers with a lower risk profile and a risk rating of Limited or No Concern).
- Monitor the financial soundness of insurers and insurance groups through the analysis of their monthly, quarterly and annual submissions (both quantitative and qualitative).
- Process notifications and applications, and recommend approval or decline of financial and non-financial applications.
- Regularly update and or prepare the initial -Risk Assessment document (RAD) for an insurer and insurance group taking into account the operational structure, business model, financial information, governance and Own Risk and Solvency Assessment (ORSA) and including his/her recommendations to close gaps.
- Prepare packs for on-site visits.
- Attend on-site visits and participates in engagements under the guidance of a senior analyst/manager.
- Draft memoranda and reports relating to on-site visit outcomes, including his/her recommendations.
- Maintain databases and records of all relevant information on insurers and insurance groups within portfolio.
