Job Description
- A Trade Test Certificate as an Electrician is essential for the role. (Red Seal preferred).
- Previous experience having worked within an industrial electrical maintenance manufacturing environment is essential. Experience working within a Plastic manufacturing company is preferred.
- Knowledge of PLC controlled systems, machinery, drives, motors, sensors etc VSDs, and industrial automation is essential.
- Must be Familiar with South African electrical regulations and safety standards.
- Must be able to read and interpret electrical diagrams and technical manuals.
- Must be familiar with preventative and predictive maintenance practices.
- Experience working with injection moulding and thermoforming machinery is preferred.
- Must have strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills with good communication and teamwork abilities.
- Installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing all electrical equipment, machinery, and control systems within their plastic manufacturing plant. The role focuses on minimising downtime, supporting production efficiency, and ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards.
- Performing routine and emergency maintenance on electrical systems and machinery.
- Diagnosing electrical faults and implementing effective solutions.
- Maintaining and repairing control panels, motors, sensors, and PLC systems.
- Installing new electrical equipment and wiring in compliance with regulations.
- Assisting in the commissioning of new machinery and production lines.
- Ensuring all work complies with OHSA and company safety standards.
- Conducting risk assessments and implementing corrective actions.
- Maintaining accurate records of all electrical work and inspections.
- Reporting faults and maintenance activities to supervisors promptly.
- Installing electrical wiring, control panels, and related components for injection moulding machines and auxiliary equipment.

We are looking for a skilled and reliable Injection Moulding Operator to join our production team. The successful candidate will be responsible for setting up, monitoring, and operating injection moulding machines to produce high-quality plastic products in line with company standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with installing moulds and machine setup.
- Adjust machine controls (temperature, pressure, volume) according to job specifications.
- Inspect finished products to ensure they meet quality and dimensional standards.
- Monitor production processes and perform in-process quality checks.
- Load raw plastic material into machines and handle finished parts.
- Trim, package, and label products as required.
- Perform basic maintenance and troubleshoot minor equipment issues.
- Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work environment.
- Complete necessary production and quality documentation.
Requirements & Skills
- Previous experience as an Injection Moulding Operator or in a similar production role (advantageous but not always required).
- Ability to read and follow work instructions or blueprints.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to product quality.
- Good problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
- Physical stamina to stand, walk, and lift moderate weights throughout the shift.

Job Purpose:
The Maintenance Technician works under the supervision of the Maintenance Coordinator, is responsible to do any mould change or color change for any product that is for production output from the start to end. This includes setting of the machines, packing tables, dosing units for optimum quality and productivity. It is expected to do repairs on machinery, equipment and do preventative maintenance as and when required.
Skills:
· Excellent communication skills
· Have good problem solving, planning and analytical skills.
· Computer literate
· Hand on experience with hand and electrical tools.
· Manual dexterity and physical stamina.
Qualification and Experience:
· Must have at least 3-5 years Blow moulding and or Injection moulding operating machine experience – Candidates without this experience will not be considered.
· Must have Grade 12 (Matric) or NQF Level 4 (N3).
· At least 3 - 5 years within a production environment or a manufacturing industry.
· Knowledge of manufacturing processes and machinery
· Knowledge of pneumatic, hydraulic, electrical, and mechanical workings
NOTE: Please note all Plastic Blow moulding, Injection moulding operating machine experience as well as duration clearly on your CV.
Daily / Weekly / Monthly Tasks:
· Needs to fulfill any admin duties required including keeping files up to date.
· Must do a mould change from one product to another product in due time and set machine for production.
· Must change Packing table between products and set up in due time to run production.
· Must be able to test machine/packing table for process faults and correct it accordingly.
· Must take full responsibility for machine/packing table change in regard to productivity, quality and housekeeping.
· Must handle moulds with care and service as required to maintain a good production standard.
· Must see to it that all accessories for next mould change are available.
· Must be able to set and correct all process faults.
· Must ensure that Quality standards are adhered to and that First-off inspection is done.
· Must fill out the necessary documents for the Process Inspection.
· All worksheets are updated, maintained, and kept.
· Do routine /preventative maintenance on all equipment in factory /Offices
· Housekeeping of machinery and your department are always up to standard.
· Adhere to safety regulations and utilize safety equipment wherever necessary.
· Do the tasks as per Work Instruction where necessary.
· Must assist and train operators where and when required.
· From time to time tasks that does not form part of your job description and seen fit to do as per the managers discretion.
· The above list is not exclusive and shall be subject to reasonable amendment as required from time to time.
· Needs to fulfill any admin duties required including keeping files up to date.
