- Ensure compliance with all relevant safety regulations and electrical codes (SANS/SABS standards).
- Work with mechanical fitters and process technicians to minimise machine downtime.
- Record maintenance activities in logs or CMMS (Computerised Maintenance Management Systems).
- Support equipment upgrades, modifications, and new installations.
- Conduct root cause analysis on repeated electrical failures and suggest corrective action.
- Adhere to ISO and quality control standards, especially in the automotive/plastics sectors.

About the roleThe successful candidate will report directly to the Production Manager. This is a junior position designed as a developmental role for two years. At the end of the two years, the candidate will be responsible for the following:
- The set-up, and sustained robust performance of all injection moulding machines.
- Responsible for the proper set up and operation of injection moulding machines for the production of precision moulded plastic parts.
- Monitors the moulding process to ensure product quality.
- Executes daily production tasks and supervises work in accordance with production schedule.
