The Opportunity
We are looking for Energy and Infrastructure, Senior Project Managers who can offer a range of skills from stakeholder, human, integration, scope, risk management, cost management, time, procurement, communication, design, construction, health & safety, quality management & environment management across the project life cycle. As we built confidence, we will grow this team with specific project control functions to offer a range of service on large projects across different sectors.

This position is based in Johannesburg or Cape Town.

Develop detailed project execution plans for to ensure successful delivery of projects. Work collaboratively with the Client and the Arup team. Manage and coordinate the integration of technical activities to enable Arup to achieve its objectives. Ensure projects deliverables comply with design standards, legal regulations, environmental standards, and necessary permits.

Identify potential project risks and devise mitigation strategies. Maintain relationships with stakeholders, including governments, local communities, suppliers, contractors, and team members. Ensure Arup delivers quality service to our clients. Implement quality control measures to ensure project standards and performance objectives are met. Oversee and report on the project's progress to senior management and stakeholders. Technical knowledge in the energy and infrastructure field. Ability to consult with others to develop the level of knowledge required for the role. Utilises the company's knowledge network to adopt best practices in approach to work. Have a good understanding of Construction of projects.

An exciting opportunity exists for an experienced
Construction Project Manager
to join a major
utility-scale Solar PV project
based in Parys, Free State. This role is ideal for a professional with a strong track record in managing large renewable energy or infrastructure projects.

This is a contract position lasting 1+ years

Role Overview

The successful candidate will lead the project from initiation through to completion, overseeing all aspects including cost, scope, schedule, quality, and client interface. A strong background in
electrical EPC or E-BoP project delivery
is essential, along with proven leadership in multidisciplinary construction environments.

Requirements

• BEng/BTech in Electrical Engineering or Construction Management
• Minimum of 10 years' relevant experience, including at least 3 years as a Project Manager on utility-scale Solar PV or Wind Farm projects
• Solid understanding of construction processes, quality control, and site management

THE OPPORTUNITY

We have an opportunity for an experienced Construction Project Manager to join our Development team. The purpose of this role is to manage various aspects of commercial construction projects. The incumbent will work closely with architects, contractors, subcontractors, and other stakeholders to ensure that the projects are completed on time and within budget.

DUTIES/ RESPONSIBILITIES

• Oversee the building/construction projects and progress thereof.
• Scope the projects including equipment, materials, and manpower.
• Determines the project budget, timing, and costs.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations and building codes.
• Collaborate with contractors, engineers, vendors, and key team members of the project team.
• Ensure compliance with SLA terms and conditions of vendors.
• Obtain permits and licences from authorities for construction sites.
• Allocate and manage resources to ensure that they are available when they are needed throughout the construction projects.
• Keep all stakeholders aware of the progress on projects and prepare regular progress reports.
• Conduct site checks to monitor progress and quality standards.

REQUIREMENTS

• Degree or Diploma in Project Management, Building and/or Quantity Surveying.
• Registered and affiliated with Project Management and building institutions preferred.
• 2-4 years experience in a similar role.
• Experience in QSR Commercial and Retail projects preferred.
• Competent in Google Workspace/MS Office.
• Valid driver's licence.
