Qualifications

Required/Minimum Qualifications

  • Numerous years experience in technical architect, technical consulting, design and implementation, and/or technical sales

  • OR Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related field AND several years experience in technical architect, technical consulting, design and implementation, and/or technical sales

  • OR Relevant certifications from Microsoft or competitive platforms AND a number of years experience in technical architect, technical consulting, design and implementation, and/or technical sales
  • OR equivalent experience.

  • Number of years of experience with cloud solution sales

Additional or Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related field AND Numerous years experience in technical architect, consulting, design and implementation, and/or sales

  • OR equivalent experience.

  • A Number of years experience with cloud-based solution designs, migrations and management of technology.

Responsibilities
  • You will end up leveraging your skills either in AI, Infrastructure or Cloud.
  • You will lead, drive, and manage engagementsY for repeatable achievement of revenue and consumption targets.
  • You will leverage practices to guide customer strategy and future growth to expand the use of Azure by cultivating customer affinity with Microsoft programs/solutions that drive impact for the customer and establishing Microsoft as a leader. Provide feedback to Microsoft on customer development needs, customer blockers, or mitigation strategies.
  • You will conduct analyses into what customers are using versus needs. Drive consumption (cloud and support) with customers based on analysis of both usage and needs. Leverages insights to provide guidance and recommendations to customers that expands, retains, and/or optimizes the customer's Azure consumption.
  • You will run Architectural Design Session(s) to build plans for implementing solutions which align to customer business goals and technical environments.
  • You will collaborate and orchestrate with other Digital Cloud Solution Architects and the Microsoft ecosystem to ensure properly deployed cloud solutions on Azure.
  • Through close engagement with the customers the DCSA will work to meet or exceed monthly, quarterly, and annual team targets and accurately manage their customer progress in Customer Relationship Management (CRM) to forecast, assess risk, and identify performance plans in weekly deal and pipeline reviews with their manager.

Job Purpose

The Department of Infrastructure, Western Cape Government has an opportunity for a suitably qualified and competent individual to manage all aspects of the sub-programme for management and implementation of capital and maintenance health infrastructure projects for a defined region set in line with the Western Cape Government values.

Minimum Requirements

An appropriate B degree in Architecture or relevant qualification; A minimum of 3-years post-qualification architectural experience; Compulsorly registration with SACAP (South African Council for the Architectural Profession) as a Professional Architect; A valid code B driving licence.

Key Performance Areas

Manage professional project teams and relevant committees for a particular project or package of projects; Manage the procurement process of projects; Monitor, control and report on project/programme implementation Identify and extract data and information to assist client departments with the drafting of their user asset management plan; Research and study literature to keep abreast of new technologies and procedures, including interaction with professional Councils, Boards and organisations; Assisting technical staff to achieve the pre-determined performance; indicators and service delivery imperatives; Management of framework, term service and consultant agreements including appointment and payment processes. Experience in the following will be advatageous: Contract documentation and administration; Project Management, formulation of policies in a multi-disciplinary professional environment.

Competencies

Knowledge in the following: Act/regulations of Occupation Health and Safety (OHS Act); National Building Regulations; SANS and all relevant built environment legislation; Programme and project management; Research and planning procedures; Financial management; Formulation of policies in a multi-disciplinary professional environment. Skills needed: Leadership and organising; Written and verbal communication; Conflict management; Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines; Conflict management; Able to work in a team.

Remuneration

Grade A R OSD as prescribed)

Note on remuneration: to-employer (CTE) remuneration packages for certain occupation-specific dispensations (OSD), the middle-management service (MMS) and contract positions are inclusive of all costs related to service benefits or obligations including basic salary, 13th cheque, medical assistance, housing assistance, pension-fund contributions, etc. MMS remuneration packages are flexible and may be individually structured as prescribed. Where remuneration is not indicated as CTE, employees' service benefits or obligations are funded or co-funded in terms of the applicable prescripts or collective agreements.
