Key Responsibilities
Infrastructure Architecture & Planning
- Define and maintain the target-state infrastructure architecture across data centres, cloud platforms, and edge environments.
- Lead the roadmap for infrastructure modernization including virtualization, hyperconverged systems, containerization, and network overlays.
- Establish infrastructure patterns and blueprints for compute, storage, backup, disaster recovery (DR), and network architectures.
- Align infrastructure strategy with enterprise architecture principles, performance objectives, and service level agreements (SLAs).
Cloud and Hybrid Enablement
- Drive hybrid and multi-cloud architecture strategy across AWS, Azure, and private cloud (e.g. OpenStack, VMware).
- Architect secure, compliant infrastructure-as-code pipelines, integrating Terraform, Ansible, or similar tools.
- Guide cloud landing zone design, VPC architecture, identity federation, and interconnect strategies.
- Ensure observability, cost governance, and elasticity in cloud-native workloads.
Security, Resilience & Compliance
- Embed security-by-design principles into infrastructure blueprints, including micro segmentation, encryption, and zero-trust access.
Technical Experience:
Essential:
- 8+ years in infrastructure or cloud architecture roles in high-availability environments.
- Strong background in data center and cloud network architecture, compute and virtualization, storage and backup, hybrid cloud design, IaC and automation, CI/CD and infrastructure observability.
- Experience with platform engineering, service mesh, and secure enclave deployment.
- Familiarity with Fintech or payments grade infrastructure standards.
- Clear understanding of layered security, zero trust, and identity federation.
- Demonstrated hands-on experience architecting Infrastructure:
- Hybrid/multi-cloud architectures (AWS, Azure, GCP), container orchestration (Kubernetes), IaaS/PaaS adoption models.
- Deep understanding of architectural implications for regulatory compliance frameworks (e.g., PCI-DSS, GDPR, ISO 27001).
- Experience integrating Zero Trust Architecture, identity management (OAuth2, OpenID, SAML), and encryption protocols into enterprise design.
- Familiarity with architecture risk assessments, threat modelling, and secure-by-design principles.
- Strong experience in designing high traffic, scalable, reliable, and secure infrastructure.
- Understanding of cloud architecture and services
- Architect HA/DR solutions across critical systems, ensuring geographic redundancy and failover readiness.
- Ensure infrastructure compliance with PCI-DSS, ISO 27001, and local regulatory requirements.
- Support infrastructure risk assessments and penetration testing preparation.
Governance & Collaboration
- Participate in Architecture Review
- Boards to assess infrastructure impact and conformance to strategy.
- Collaborate with DevOps, SRE, security, and operations teams to promote infrastructure reliability and automation.
- Engage with vendors, cloud providers, and technology partners for capability assessment and solutioning.
- Produce and maintain infrastructure architecture documentation, standards, and runbooks.
Desirable
- Kubernetes cluster design and day-to day operations experience.
- Experience integrating 3rd-party observability platforms (e.g., Datadog, Splunk).
- Exposure to edge computing, CDN integration, and mobile backend scaling strategies.
- Cloud certification (e.g., AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Azure Architect Expert).
- Experience of continuous delivery and release automation processes.
- Knowledge and interest in market leading Payments technologies, suppliers and innovations
- Understanding of technical and architectural policies and ability to transform that policy into detailed technical design.
- Experience in Vendor assessment and technical due diligence for major platform selections.
Educational Qualifications:
- Bachelors or Masters degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Network Engineering,
- Enable at least 3 legacy workloads for cloud readiness with full infra-as-code deployment.
- Design secure, multi-cloud landing zones with federated identity, policy enforcement, and network segmentation.
- Develop migration playbooks and automated cutover strategies to enable safe cloud transitions.
- 8 years technical background inclusive of infrastructure architecture experience
- Domain experience in Financial Services and Financial technologies will be an added advantage
- Has demonstrable knowledge and experience in both Agile and Waterfall methodologies

As an Infrastructure Architect, you will play a critical role in designing and implementing robust IT infrastructure solutions for our clients. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
INFRASTRUCTURE DESIGN:
- Develop and design infrastructure solutions that align with our clients’ strategic goals and objectives.
- Create comprehensive infrastructure designs that integrate data centers, cloud services, security measures, hardware, software, networking, and storage solutions while ensuring that each component aligns with the client's strategic goals and operational needs.
- Design solutions that can scale with the client's business growth and adapt to changing technological landscapes.
- Design infrastructure solutions that use flexible architectures that allow for easy updates and enhancements.
- Incorporate the latest technologies and innovations into infrastructure designs, ensuring that clients benefit from cutting-edge solutions that enhance performance and efficiency.
INFRASTRUCTURE PLANNING:
- Lead efforts to work closely with clients, business leaders, and technical teams to gather infrastructure requirements and align them with business objectives.
- Coordinate project activities with project managers, ensuring that infrastructure projects are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget.
- Perform detailed capacity planning to ensure that infrastructure can support current and future workloads.
- Develop strategies for efficient resource allocation to meet infrastructure demands.
- Create detailed roadmaps that outline the steps for infrastructure upgrades, enhancements, and migrations.
- Provide clear timelines and milestones to guide implementation efforts.
- Develop comprehensive plans for upgrading existing infrastructure and migrating to new platforms or technologies to ensure minimal disruption to business operations during transitions.
INFRASTRUCTURE IMPLEMENTATION:
- Oversee the Implementation of infrastructure projects, coordinating efforts between various teams and stakeholders to ensure successful execution.
- Oversee the implementation of data centre architectures that meet client requirements for performance, security, and scalability.
- Oversee the implementation of virtualization technologies to enhance resource utilization and flexibility.
- Oversee the implementation of cloud solutions, including public, private, and hybrid cloud environments and ensure seamless integration with existing infrastructure and optimize for performance and cost.
SYSTEMS ARCHITECTURE:
- Develop detailed system architecture plans that address all aspects of infrastructure, including performance optimization, high availability, robust security, and cost management.
- Oversee that the system architecture supports optimal performance by leveraging efficient resource allocation, load balancing, and advanced caching mechanisms.
- Design architectures with redundancy and failover capabilities to ensure continuous operation and minimal downtime in case of component failures.
- Implement scalable architecture patterns that allow for seamless expansion as business needs grow, ensuring that the infrastructure can handle increased demand without compromising performance.
TECHNOLOGY EVALUATION:
- Assist in troubleshooting and resolving complex infrastructure issues that require advanced technical expertise.
- Conduct root cause analysis to identify underlying issues and prevent recurrence.
- Develop and implement corrective actions to address root causes.
- Analyse infrastructure performance and implement optimization strategies to enhance efficiency and reduce bottlenecks
- Provide guidance and support to IT operations teams during incident response. Help resolve escalated issues and ensure timely resolution.
- Identify opportunities for continuous improvement in infrastructure management processes. Implement best practices to enhance overall system reliability and performance.
TECHNICAL DOCUMENTATION:
- Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation for all infrastructure designs, configurations, and standards and ensure that documentation is clear, accurate, and up-to-date.
- Create detailed architectural diagrams that visually represent infrastructure designs, including network topologies, server configurations, and data flow diagrams.
- Design technical specifications for infrastructure components, including hardware, software, and network configurations and provide detailed instructions for deployment and configuration.
- Establish and document procedures and standards for infrastructure management, including best practices for maintenance, monitoring, and troubleshooting.
- Maintain accessible and up-to-date documentation for team members and stakeholders
SECURITY AND COMPLIANCE:
- Oversee that infrastructure solutions meet security and compliance requirements, including data protection, access controls, high-availability, disaster recovery, and business continuity.
- Oversee that all infrastructure solutions comply with relevant industry standards and regulatory requirements
- Implement industry best practices and stay updated with evolving security threats and technologies
CROSS TEAM COLLABORATION:
- Collaborate with various teams to gather requirements, provide technical guidance, and ensure successful implementation of infrastructure projects.
MENTORING AND TRAINING:
- Mentor project engineers and the PMD team, providing guidance, training, and support to foster professional development and technical growth.
- Foster a culture of continuous learning and knowledge sharing within the team.
- Organise and facilitate training sessions, workshops, and knowledge-sharing initiatives to enhance team capabilities.
CONTINUOUS LEARNING AND DEVELOPMENT:
- Implement industry best practices in all aspects of infrastructure design, deployment, and management. Ensure that the organization remains at the forefront of technological advancements.

KEY REQUIREMENTS:
Required:
- 5+ years of proven hands-on/practical experience in infrastructure architecture, design, and implementation, preferably within a managed service provider environment.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (Desirable).
- Quest Tooling experience.
TECHNICAL COMPETENCIES & SKILLS:
- Microsoft 365 Enterprise Administrator Expert (MS-102) and/or Microsoft Azure Solutions Architect Expert.
- Other technical certifications (e.g., via Microsoft, Dell, Fortinet, SonicWall, SentinelOne, HPE Aruba, Veeam, AWS, Google, etc.) will be considered as well.
- Strong knowledge of infrastructure components, including servers, storage systems, networking, virtualization, security, and cloud technologies.
- Advanced expertise in architecting, designing & implementing complex, scalable, and high-availability infrastructure solutions.

- Demonstrated hands-on experience architecting Infrastructure: Hybrid/multi-cloud architectures (AWS, Azure, GCP), container orchestration (Kubernetes), IaaS/PaaS adoption models.
- Deep understanding of architectural implications for regulatory compliance frameworks (e.g., PCI-DSS, GDPR, ISO 27001).
- Experience integrating Zero Trust Architecture, identity management (OAuth2, OpenID, SAML), and encryption protocols into enterprise design.
- Familiarity with architecture risk assessments, threat modelling, and secure-by-design principles.
- Strong experience in designing high traffic, scalable, reliable, and secure infrastructure.

About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled AI Infrastructure Architect with expertise in the Azure ecosystem and deep knowledge of infrastructure sizing and capacity planning. In this role, you will design, size, and optimize AI/ML infrastructure that is robust, scalable, secure, and cost-efficient — enabling enterprise AI adoption at scale.
Key Responsibilities
- Architecture & Design: Design and architect AI/ML infrastructure solutions on Azure ensuring scalability, availability, and high performance.
- Sizing & Capacity Planning: Lead infrastructure sizing for compute, storage, networking, and GPU workloads; forecast capacity based on growth and workload trends.
- Implementation & Optimization: Deploy AI platforms using Infrastructure-as-Code (Terraform, ARM, Bicep) and optimize for cost, performance, and scalability.
- Data Pipeline Integration: Design and size data pipelines using Azure Data Factory, Data Lake, and Synapse Analytics for large-scale AI workloads.
- Security & Compliance: Implement cloud security best practices, identity management, and compliance frameworks.
- Collaboration: Partner with data science, engineering, and business teams to translate requirements into scalable, future-proof Azure solutions.
- Continuous Improvement: Stay updated with Azure advancements, industry trends, and MLOps best practices.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Bachelor’s/Master’s in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
- 8+ years in IT architecture, with 3+ years in AI/ML infrastructure.
- Strong understanding of AI/ML lifecycle, MLOps, and DevOps practices.
- Hands-on experience with Infrastructure-as-Code (Terraform, ARM, Bicep).
- Knowledge of containerization (Docker, Kubernetes).
- Proficiency in GPU/CPU sizing and performance optimization.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Azure certifications (Solutions Architect, AI Engineer, or related) preferred.
Preferred Experience
- Hybrid or multi-cloud AI deployments.
- Model governance, responsible AI, and cost optimization best practices.
- Large-scale AI infrastructure sizing for high-throughput workloads.
- Prior work in telecom, fintech, or regulated industries.
