The candidate will be involved in all aspects of investment and asset management for infrastructure investments. Responsibilities also include researching, analysing and provision of relevant information under the supervision of the Investment team as mandated by the CIO and Head of Portfolio: Infrastructure.
Key Performance Areas:
- Building of Excel-based infrastructure financial investment/portfolio models as required by the team.
- Assistance of investment due diligence including key economic, financial, and related technical considerations.
- Preparation of infrastructure investment related management reports, including company bores and CEO report.
- Assist with and manage the process for the acquisition and disposal of infrastructure assets (FICA, KYC documents, signing of resolutions, coordination of the companies’ documentation packs etc.).
- Following global infrastructure market trends, collating infrastructure research material and analysing outlook which may affect the company's portfolio, prepare and summarize for Investment team.
- BCom in Financial Accounting, Economics, Math/Stats or related Degrees and/or Bachelor of Business Science (BBusSc)
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel
- 2 – 3 years post qualification experience in the financial services industry and exposure to infrastructure investing (minimum 2 years).
- Prior work experience could be in corporate finance (M&A), project finance or private equity/infrastructure (investment fund).
- Building and updating detailed project finance models from scratch.

Job Description
South African National Parks (SANParks) invite applications for a fixed term contract position for 3 (three) years from suitably qualified and experienced persons to manage infrastructure projects Nxanatseni and Marula Regions.
This position will report to the Programme Manager: Kruger National Park.
The incumbents will be expected to provide own accommodation outside the park hence the package took that into account.
Roles and Responsibilities
- Management and implementation of various infrastructure (including Expanded Public Works Programme) projects in national parks in Kruger National Park.
- Contract management of construction projects.
- Development of business plans and project implementation plans as per funding guidelines and conditions.
- Human capital management.
- Administration, data management and reporting projects as per requirements.
- Financial management of project budgets and cash flow.
- Liaise and communicate with relevant stakeholders and role-players.
- Ensure sound internal controls and adherence to policies and procedures.
- Preparation and approval of tender documents for consultants and contractors.
- A recognised Degree or B-Tech in any of the Built Environment Disciplines (Construction Management, Architecture, Quantity Surveying, Engineering or Project Management). (NQF Level 7 Essential).
- Registration with the South African Council for Project and Construction Management Professions as a Professional Construction Project Manager (SACPCMP) or any other relevant professional body.
- Minimum of 6 years inproject and construction management experience.
- 3-5 years Management experience in a similar senior role.
- Knowledge and understanding of the relevant acts, i.e., PFMA, OHS, Construction and Environmental Management Regulations, FIPDM etc.
- Experience in labour intensive construction work will be an advantage.
- A valid Code EB driver’s license and Microsoft Office software competency.

We're looking for a dynamic Infrastructure Advisory to join our PFIA team under Strategy and Transactions (SAT) group as part of our continued growth and success. As part of our PFIA team, you'll develop your commercial capabilities working with our global networks and fast-moving, emerging clients. Our diverse client portfolio will build your capabilities in pitching, briefing, managing relationships and challenging assumptions. Your key responsibilities
As part of the PFIA team youwill be responsible forassisting clients in the development and implementation of strategies to advance large-scale infrastructure and other projects. Advise on the structuring and closing of financing for infrastructure projects and/or procurements, including the development, structuring, and negotiation of contract terms.
You will be required to demonstrate a deep understanding of capital project/program funding, financing and delivery mechanisms at the local, state, and national levels to support analysis of client projects and provide project and program management assistance to clients and project teams on large projects. Developing and mentoring junior team members will also be a key part of your role.
Skills and attributes for success
Individuals with a good Knowledge of public-private partnerships (PPP), concessions and acquisition and project financing structures will do well in this role. Project Financing knowledge, with an understanding of project financial modelling and financing markets, would be highly valued and the understanding of economic or social infrastructure procurement and delivery.
To qualify for the role you must have
- A bachelor's/Masters degree with at least 1+ years of related work experience.
- Experience with large-scale infrastructure projects with proven project management skills
- Experience in feasibility studies and/or structuring project financing transactions and/or procurements and the commercial aspects of the associated documentation
- Proven quantitative analytical capabilities; ability to build market-accepted financial models is preferred.
- Outstanding critical thinking skills with the ability to solve unstructured problems.
- Outstanding communication, writing and organizational skills
- Intellectually curious with a strong desire to develop professionally in the infrastructure finance and policy sector.
Ideally, you'll also have
- Experience in a top-tier advisory/consultingfirm, infrastructure service provider, bank, relevant government agency or other relevant sector significant experience in a top-tier advisory firm, infrastructure service provider, bank, relevant government agency or other relevant sector
- Professional qualifications such as CP3P, CFA, will be considered an advantage.
