Qualifications
- Matric and/or (NQF3 equivalent),
- Spray Painting Qualification Trade Tested
- Must be a South African Citizen
- Multi languages
- Completed 3 year apprenticeship program in Spray Painting.
- Basic knowledge of vehicle mechanics and electrical systems.
- Valid drivers license.
- Good communication skills.
- Expertise in utilizing various spray painting tools and equipment such as pressure pots, spray guns, hoses, nozzles, gauges, cup guns, conveyor line, paint gun cleaner unit, protective spray painting equipment, paint shakers, and high-lifts
- Aptitude in using various hand tools, including wrenches, pliers, and hammers
- Expertise in reading Wet Film Thickness Gage as well as reading and interpreting Product Data Sheets
- Familiar with safely handling solvents and chemicals
- Able to blend paint and adjust paint guns and systems
- Can identify and correct paint defects
- Can adhere to work Instructions and clean paint equipment

- You are responsible for performing various paint spray duties in a repair and panel shop environment.
- You are responsible for choosing the appropriate coatings, paints, or sprays, or prepare the desired one by mixing substances according to correct formula.

- Responsible for preparing parts and assemblies for painting
- Mix paint and other materials according to specification or formula
- Ensure facility and spray-painting equipment are in good working condition
- Responsible for the identification and separation of non-conforming parts or materials and report them to supervisors
- Utilize spray gun and apply paint in conformance with all specifications
- Employ heat or oven paint drying techniques for special purpose finishes
- Scrutinize and measure parts to maintain statistical process control charts
- Monitor machine gauges and equipment operation to discover defects/deviations from standards, and make necessary adjustments
- Utilize solvents, wire brushes, and cloths for cleaning sprayers and power equipment
- Follow company requirements to select paint, and match colours of paint following specified colour charts
- Responsible for material and minor maintenance
