Job Knowledge, Skills and Experience

  • A relevant M+4 qualification in Finance, Accounting, Auditing or Risk management.

Key Performance Areas / Principal Accountabilities

  • Develop, implement and maintain an ERM framework and supporting policies and procedures (including risk tolerance levels and appetite) in line with relevant frameworks and guidelines.
  • Develop and implement a Strategic Annual University Risk Management plan that includes the risk profile in line with relevant frameworks and guidelines.
  • Develop and implement appropriate and effective risk assessment methodologies, models and systems in line with best practice principles.
  • Assess and maintain the risk maturity profile of the University in line with the IRMSA risk maturity model.
  • Facilitate the identification and assessment of risks at a strategic and operational level utilising appropriate tools and techniques, taking cognisance of the risk environment.
  • Develop strategic and operational risk registers for Faculties and departments at the University in line with the ERM framework and best practice principles as well as the facilitation and development of risk response strategies (mitigation plans) for risks identified.
  • Report all relevant risk matters including findings, risk positions and recommendations to relevant stakeholders (on-going), and oversight committees (quarterly).
  • Establish a risk management philosophy and culture and maintain it through Risk awareness activities, understanding the risk maturity model, establishing risk appetite and tolerance levels, including the establishment of on-going fraud prevention programme, business continuity and ethics awareness framework.
  • Ensure effective coordination of enterprise risk management activities with all assurance providers, such as internal /external audit, forensics and compliance functions. Co-ordinate activities with secretariat services in relation to the Quality and Risk Management committee

What you will do

In security risk management we harness industry best practices and drive innovation in security risk assessments and modelling. Responsibilities
  • La figura cercata è un profilo giovane, motivato ed entusiasta di fronte alla possibilità di apprendere e approfondire le tematiche legate alla tesoreria corporate ed alla gestione dei rischi di mercato (tasso di interesse, tasso di cambio, prezzo commodity).
  • Trattamento contabile in ambito Financial Risk Management: redazione di policy e procedure, con particolare attenzione al trattamento contabile degli strumenti finanziari secondo i principi IAS/IFRS, inclusi i meccanismi di hedge accounting.
  • Sviluppo di modelli finanziari per strumenti di debito e derivati: creazione di modelli per la valutazione, analisi e contabilizzazione di strumenti finanziari complessi, garantendo l’allineamento con i principi contabili internazionali e nazionali (ITA Gaap).
  • Funzione Tesoreria Corporate: revisione dell’organizzazione della Tesoreria, definizione di policy, implementazione di sistemi e ottimizzazione dei processi core di Tesoreria.

  • Conoscenza dei modelli finanziari generalmente utilizzati per la valutazione e misurazione delle performance di portafogli di investimento (azionari, obbligazionari, ecc)
  • Conoscenza avanzata di uno o più dei seguenti linguaggi di programmazione: VBA, Matlab, R, SAS

Overview

Risk Analyst - Operational Risk Management at Deel. The role will assist in executing the Operational Risk Management Framework (ORMF) with a focus on execution, monitoring, and reporting of operational risk programs.

Responsibilities
  • Assist in the day-to-day application of the Operational Risk Management Framework.
  • Contribute to ensuring policies, procedures, and guidance are accessible and practical.
  • Coordinate scheduling, data collection, and documentation for RCSAs.
  • Support facilitators during workshops by preparing materials and documenting outputs.
  • Collect and validate data for KRIs, maintain KRI dashboards, and escalate breaches.
  • Track open issues and follow up with owners for updates. Ensure remediation actions are documented and evidence of closure is collected.
  • Produce draft risk dashboards, trend analysis, and reporting packs for review by management.
  • Ensure reporting is consistent, accurate, and delivered on time.
  • Assist with documenting operational risk considerations for change initiatives.
  • Research and summarise external developments and emerging risks for internal awareness.
  • Promote consistent application of operational risk practices through reminders, training support, and document updates.
Skills And Competencies
  • Strong background in operational risk, audit, or related functions within financial services, payments, or FinTech.
  • Hands-on experience with ORM programs, including a minimum of four of the following programs:
    • RCSAs
    • KRIs
    • Issues & Action Plans
    • Operational Risk Events
    • Third Party Risk Management
    • Scenario Analysis
    • Enterprise Business Continuity and Crisis Management
    • Change Risk Management and/or Change Governance
  • Strong attention to detail with experience managing structured risk data.
  • Good analytical skills, with ability to identify patterns and trends.
  • Clear written and verbal communication for reports and stakeholder interactions.
  • Degree in Risk Management, Business, Finance, or related field.
  • Professional certifications (e.g., ORM, CRISC, FRM) desirable but not required.
