A globally active multidisciplinary engineering firm that offers solutions for the mineral processing & water sectors has a vacancy for a Civil Designer based in Gauteng. Relevant N6 or Engineering qualification from an accredited institution is required.
Minimum Requirements:
A minimum of 7 years experience as a Designer in metallurgical/Industrial plant design. Proficiency in AutoCAD/Civil 3D/Revit. Must own a vehicle and have a valid driver's license. Willingness to travel nationally and internationally is essential. The position is based in Sandton, Gauteng.
Duties & Responsibilities- Generate BOM components and scope of work documents.
- Produce detailed drawings from set out as per drawing office standards.
- Produce as-built drawings.
- Produce material take-off/Bill of Quantities.
- Understand and apply relevant industry standards.
- Attend site visits.
- Proficient in AutoDesk; Recap; Civil 3D ; Plant 3D; Revit; Navis.
- Self-motivated, energetic, positive, and enthusiastic individual who can effectively meet deadlines.
- Experience in metallurgical (process) plant layouts & designs, generation of BOM components.
- Ability to effectively communicate with customers regarding technical information.
- Excellent communication, people, and conflict management skills.
