As an Import Export Specialist at ICON, you will play a vital role in ensuring the efficient and compliant coordination of import and export processes and tasks. You will handle import and export tasks, facilitating the movement of goods while adhering to regulatory requirements.
**What You Will Be Doing:**
+ Coordinating import and export processes, including documentation, customs clearance, and compliance with international trade regulations.
+ Coordinating with suppliers, freight forwarders, and customs brokers to ensure timely and accurate delivery of shipments.
+ Conducting reviews of import/export documentation to ensure accuracy and compliance with applicable laws and policies.
+ Participating in the resolution of any issues or discrepancies relating to shipments, customs and trade compliance.
+ Staying informed about changes in trade regulations and providing guidance on best practices for international shipping.
**Your Profile:**
+ Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, international business, customs and logistics, or a related field.
+ 3-5 years of experience in import/export coordination or logistics, with a strong understanding of customs regulations and compliance.
+ Proficient in import/export documentation and processes, with attention to detail and organizational skills.
+ Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a proactive approach to resolving issues.
+ Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with internal and external partners.

We are looking for a detail-oriented and proactive Import/Export Junior Administrator to join our dynamic procurement department at our head office in Aeroton, Johannesburg South. The ideal candidate will have a strong administrative background, with a keen eye for accuracy and excellent organizational skills, along with a desire to work longer hours.
Responsibilities:
- Verify purchase orders to ensure compliance with shipping and payment standards
- Review import/export documentation before submitting to clearing agents
- Capture procurement data and costing accurately on relevant data sheets
- Assist in preparing and submitting clearing instruction forms to agents
- Support the export process for all Adendorff branches across South Africa
- Upload and manage documentation in procurement files and folders
- Follow up with shipping agents regarding all shipments on water
- Ensure errors are rectified with shipping agents and in-house processors
- Liaise with the warehouse regarding queries, deliveries, and logistical matters
- Assist with NRCS, Customs, and SAPS inspections when required
- Maintain and file all relevant documentation for record-keeping and audits
Qualifications:
- Diploma or relevant tertiary qualification in Logistics, Supply Chain, Finance or International Trade
- Min 5 years' experience in an administrative or import/export role
- Knowledge of international shipping processes and documentation
- Familiarity with NRCS, Customs, and SAPS regulatory procedures
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work under pressure
- Technical competencies with Syspro or similar
- Strong Excel experience with procurement systems advantageous
- Excellent communication skills and ability to liaise with internal and external stakeholders
