The role you’ll contribute:
Directs, manages, and provides care for a set number of patients utilizing the nursing process to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care. Healthcare needs are identified with the patient and family: formulating plans, setting goals, and educating them. Evaluates patient outcomes and revises care plans as needed. Provides leadership and direction when working with a team of caregivers. Represents the Department of Patient Care Services professionally and courteously.

- Address discharge planning needs during admission and throughout the ED stay, measured by the completion of the Discharge Process.
- Assess family dynamics within psychosocial needs.
- Derive a patient-focused need list from assessments, relevant to the patient’s age, with ongoing updates in the ED.
- Obtain and interpret information considering the patient’s age and developmental needs, measured by yearly age-related competency skills.
