The ICU Qualified Registered Nurse is responsible for delivering specialized, evidence-based nursing care to critically ill patients within the Intensive Care Unit. Key Responsibilities
Clinical Care & Monitoring
- Provide comprehensive nursing care to critically ill patients in line with ICU protocols.
- Monitor, assess, and record patients' conditions, responding to changes promptly.
- Administer intravenous therapies, medications, and blood products safely.
- Operate and manage life-support and monitoring equipment (ventilators, infusion pumps, cardiac monitors, etc.).
- Assist physicians during procedures and emergencies.
Patient & Family Support
- Educate and support patients' families, explaining treatment plans and progress.
- Provide emotional support to patients and families during critical care.
Compliance & Safety
- Ensure adherence to infection prevention and control policies.
- Maintain accurate, detailed patient records and handover reports.
- Comply with SANC regulations and hospital protocols.
Collaboration
- Work in collaboration with doctors, anaesthetists, and multidisciplinary ICU teams.
- Participate in ward rounds and contribute to treatment planning.

Qualifications & Experience
