Technician must have a minimum requirement of Grade 12 certificate , must have HVAC systems background

Minimum of at least 2 years of experience must be able to install , service , and diagnose AC units , must be exposed to Pharmeceutical Medical and Laboratory environment.

Must have valid C10 driver's license and be able to commute to Centurion Gauteng, working hours 8:00am-16:30 Mon-Friday.

Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site role for an Mobile Air Conditioning Engineer covering Central and East London. The Air Conditioning Engineer will be responsible for maintaining and repairing HVAC systems, ensuring all HVAC equipment operates efficiently. Daily tasks include routine inspections, preventive maintenance, diagnosing and resolving issues, and optimizing system performance. We are seeking a skilled and experienced Air Conditioning Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of HVAC systems, excellent troubleshooting skills, and the ability to work independently and efficiently. The Air Conditioning Technician will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing air conditioning systems for residential and commercial properties.

Key Responsibilities:

• Install new air conditioning systems according to specifications and manufacturer guidelines

· Diagnose and repair faulty air-conditioners.

Requirements:

• Grade 12
• Trade Tested Refrigeration Mechanic / Electrician
• Minimum 3–5 years' experience as a Technician in HVAC/Refrigeration.
• Valid Safe Handling of Refrigerants Certificate (advantageous).
• Strong knowledge of electrical components, wiring, and control systems.
• Valid drivers license

Responsibilities:

• Install, service, and repair HVAC systems, including air conditioners, heat pumps, ductwork, and thermostats
• Diagnose and troubleshoot system issues using specialized tools and testing equipment
• Conduct routine maintenance and inspections to prevent breakdowns and ensure compliance with safety regulations
• Recharge refrigerants and ensure proper handling according to environmental standards
• Read and interpret blueprints, wiring diagrams, and technical manuals
• Replace or repair defective components (motors, compressors, fans, thermostats, etc.)
• Calibrate systems for maximum efficiency and comfort
• Keep accurate maintenance records and service reports
• Communicate with clients or site personnel to explain work done and offer maintenance advice

The Service Sales Technician is responsible for customer support, overseeing installations and repairs, and growing sales within the Services Business Unit.

Responsibilities:

• Complete required service reports and communicate with relevant persons.
• Communicate/coordinate field service activities with customer and/or local associated sales personnel.
• Installation, service and repair of refrigeration air conditioning, and all associated tasks thereof.
• Provide telephonic technical support to customers.
• Promote Service Contracts through customer interactions and communication.
• Understand customer requirements and provide most cost-effective solution.
• Follow-up on Sales leads.
• Grow the customer base for Services.
• Identify sales opportunities within customers plants.
• Grow sales and revenue for Services Department (SLA's, once-off services, parts and accessories.
• Process in-house evaluations and repairs of units returned by customers.
• Other duties as may be requested from time to time.

Qualification and Experience:

• Matric.
• Refrigeration qualification.
• Minimum 3 years' experience in relevant field.
• Working knowledge of refrigeration products is required.
• Experience using electrical meters and troubleshooting.
• Previous field service experience preferred.
• Possess a valid driver's license and unrestricted ability to travel by air or ground to customer locations.
