- Work closely with hiring managers to define job descriptions, qualifications, and interview processes that are aligned with the company's strategic goals
- Screen, and assess candidates using a variety of methods, such as CV reviews, interviews, and skills assessments
- Coordinate and schedule interviews, ensuring a seamless experience for both candidates and interviewers
- Conduct thorough reference and background checks
- Provide guidance to hiring managers on best practices for interviewing, candidate evaluation, and selection
- Manage multiple open positions simultaneously, adhering to timelines and ensuring timely communication with stakeholders
- Manage relationships with external recruitment agencies
- Ensures that a diverse pool of candidates is sourced and considered for each role
- Reduce time-to-fill metrics by implementing efficient recruitment processes and leveraging technology where applicable
- Collaborate with People Operations and Finance teams to ensure alignment between hiring plans and budget constraints
- Monitor and manage recruitment-related expenses, reporting on budget adherence and providing insights for optimisation

Increase Brand Awareness:
- Partner with Marketing to develop and drive Electrum brand awareness
- Create brand awareness around for Electrum via online channels such as LinkedIn
Reporting, Systems and Administration:
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement innovative recruitment technologies and tools to streamline processes
Gather and analyse data with useful HR metrics, like time to hire and employee turnover rates
Analyse market trends and competitor insights to make recommendations on evolving recruitment strategies
- Utilise data and metrics to assess the effectiveness of different sourcing channels, and adjust strategies accordingly
- Degree / Diploma in Human Resources Management an equivalent business degree
- Minimum 3 years of experience in talent acquisition or recruitment
- Previous experience within the Information Technology sector - hiring Software Developers, Engineers, Sales and Operations
- Proven experience managing the talent acquisition life cycle (full end-to-end recruitment process)
Advantageous for the role:
- Previous experience in any ATS is preferred
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent knowledge of Google suite is a must for this role
- Gmail, Sheets and Google Docs
- Strong analytical and problem solving skills
- Ability to prioritise tasks and delegate where needed
- Ability to work on multiple roles and searches at the same time
- Excellent time management skills, and ability to meet deadlines

About The Role
We're looking for a
Talent Acquisition Lead
- someone who lives and breathes recruiting, thrives on ownership, and knows how to build pipelines from scratch.
You'll play a key role in finding and closing the best talent globally while shaping the systems and processes that will fuel our growth.
In this role, you will:
Build and maintain strong candidate pipelines using direct sourcing and tailored outreach campaigns
Conduct engaging screening calls that qualify talent quickly and leave candidates excited to join
Manage end-to-end recruiting processes — scorecards, interviews, reference checks, and offers
Track and analyze key hiring metrics to improve speed, quality, and candidate experience
Identify and fix bottlenecks in real time while continuously improving recruiting workflows
Partner on employer branding and messaging to ensure every outreach reflects our values and tone
This is a full-time, fully remote role with working hours that overlap with EST (you'll often recruit for U.S.-based roles).
About You
To excel in this role, you need:
5–7 years of full-cycle talent acquisition experience, ideally across international teams
2–3 years of experience designing or optimizing recruitment processes
Proven track record sourcing and closing candidates globally
Experience in fast-paced startup or high-growth environments
Proficiency with LinkedIn Recruiter, Google Sheets, Slack, Zoom, and ATS/CRM systems
Excellent communication skills - especially over video
Strong analytical and data-driven mindset
Brownie points for:
Experience running A/B tests or using split testing for messaging
Familiarity with AI recruiting tools or automation workflows
Background in building recruiting functions from scratch

Crescent Star Pty Ltd, a private entity based in Umhlanga, Durban is seeking an experienced individual to identify and source suitable candidates for its positions.
The role would suit an individual on an ad-hoc basis, open to a retainer based opportunity.
You will have experience in the Recruitment Field having placed talent prior in positions on a vast range of skills & qualifications.
The position can be remote based however it is important to understand that there is an on-site requirement to meet at-least once a month at our offices in Umhlanga.
