Role DescriptionThis is a part-time on-site role located in Cape Town, South Africa, for a Human Resources Generalist. The Human Resources Generalist will be responsible for various HR tasks, including recruitment, training and development, managing HR policies, handling employee benefits, and overseeing benefits administration. The role also involves day-to-day HR management, ensuring legal compliance with the BCEA/LRA/POPIA and OHSA, and offering support to management and employees regarding HR-related needs.
Responsibilities- Oversee full-cycle of recruitment efforts
- Develop and oversee new hire orientation, onboarding efforts and employee termination process
- Assist with payroll and benefits administration
- Ensures compliance with company policies and procedures and legal responsibilities; assisting with creating and updating this documentation where necessary
- Issuing offers and contracts of employment to new hires; ensuring staff who are foreign nationals maintain required permission to work in SA documentation
- Keeping accurate leave records and assisting line managers and staff with leave queries; handing over necessary leave deductions timeously to Finance Manager for month-end processing
- Assisting with arranging staff team-building events / wellness days, etc.
- Assessing training and development needs within the company and ensuring these needs are met

- Building strong relationships with line managers and staff alike, assisting to maintain company culture
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent qualifications(s) in Human Resources or related field
