My client is looking for a seasoned Head of IT or IT Manager to work with Senior Management and implement the established strategy for the Technology Team that is aligned with the company's business goals, especially that of an out-sourced IT service model. You will lead and oversee the IT team in implementing, maintaining, and managing the organisation's technology infrastructure and systems.
Key Accountabilities
- Quality: All employees are required to comply with the company quality standards- to ensure that SOPs that govern their area of responsibility are adhered to as well as kept up to date. It is the Head of Technology's role to develop and review Technology Policies and Procedures.
- Ensure documentation of all systems that have been developed in-house.
- Governance & Compliance: Head of Technology to embrace King IV Code as well as work towards ISO27001 compliance to ensure Technology Compliance and Good Governance.
- Technology Leadership: Providing leadership and guidance to the technology team and ensuring that the team is motivated, productive, and aligned with the overall technology strategy.
- Technology Operations: Overseeing the day-to-day operations of the technology department, ensuring smooth functioning of technology systems and infrastructure, and troubleshooting any technical issues. This includes telecommunication platforms, hardware, internet, network and servers.
- Resource Allocation: Managing the budget and resources for technology projects, including hardware, software, and personnel. Making informed suggestions to optimise resource allocation and maximize ROI. The decision needs to be made in conjunction with the CFO and Co-CEO.
- Project Management: Overseeing the execution of technology projects, ensuring they are delivered on time, within budget, and meeting the required quality standards.
- Innovation and Research: Keeping up with industry trends and emerging technologies. Evaluating how new technologies can be applied to the organisation's products, services, or processes to gain a competitive advantage.
- Collaboration with Other Departments: Working closely with other departments, such as marketing, sales, and product development, to understand their technology needs and aligning technology initiatives accordingly.
- Performance Metrics: Defining and tracking key performance indicators (KPIs) related to technology operations, projects, and overall performance. Using data-driven insights to improve efficiency and effectiveness.
- Change Management: Facilitating technological changes within the organization, such as adopting new processes, tools, or systems, and ensuring a smooth transition.
- Low code/no code: Embrace low code/no code technologies as a first priority in the company.
- Pro Code: Embrace Pro Code technologies as a second priority in the company. Provide standards guidance, perform code reviews, and provide code development assistance in case of non-availability of staff members / outsourced staff.
- IT Security: work with an out-sourced company to ensure that we are on top of IT Security in conjunction with the Head of Quality.
- Salesforce Implementation: Technical point of contact to ensure the timely delivery of integration layers between company data and Salesforce.
- Company Data Management and Reporting: Working closely with other departments to ensure their reporting needs are met, using the company wide Business Intelligence reporting tool.
Minimum Required Qualifications & Experience
- Education: A bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related discipline is typically required.
- Platforms Experience: Implementing and/or maintenance of the Salesforce platform highly advantageous.
- Quality Experience: In-depth knowledge of ISO 27001 standards and information security best practices also highly advantageous.
- Infrastructure Support: Networking, Server support
- Development Platform: Knowledge of HCL Notes/Domino highly advantageous.
- Server operating Systems: Windows Server and Linux operational knowledge highly advantageous

3. ROLE REQUIREMENTS
Qualifications and Experience
· Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Data Analytics, or related field (postgraduate preferred).
· Prince2 certification and PMP (Project Management Professional) certification
· to 6 years of experience in technology leadership and systems architecture.
· Proven ability to code and automate workflows (e.g. SQL, Python, JavaScript, R)
· Proven experience building dashboards (e.g. Power BI, Tableau, Looker, Google Data Studio), and drive system integrations.
· Demonstrated ability to drive systems integration and lead cross-functional projects.
Coding/scripting or low-code platform experience is desirable.
· Strong communication skills, with the ability to influence and communicate technical matters to non-technical stakeholders.
· Exposure to the social investment / philanthropic sector and use of technology for good.
Minimum Skills:
