REQUIREMENTS

Essential Criteria:

  • Relevant/Cognate Master’s qualification (minimum)
  • Relevant/Cognate Doctoral qualification (desirable)
  • Minimum 4 years of academic management experience
  • Sound knowledge of the South African higher education landscape
  • Understanding of higher education quality and regulatory frameworks
  • Proven track record in academic leadership supporting scholarship and student success
  • Familiarity with academic management at School or equivalent level
  • Strategic thinking, communication, leadership, and student management skills
  • Experience or knowledge of industries serviced by the School with established networks/partnerships; as well as an understanding of the relevant professional and regulatory authorities
  • Advanced skills in course and content design
  • Demonstrated ability in forging external partnerships and enhancing academic reputation
  • Resilience and agility with the proven capacity to identify and constructively respond to change
