As a Data Processing Automation Specialist, youll design, build, and maintain Python-based automation tools that transform manual data workflows into efficient, reliable systems. Youll collaborate with technical teams to ensure accuracy, speed, and scalability in the way critical datasets are processed.
What Youll Do
- Develop and maintain Python scripts to automate data quality control and workflows.
- Streamline manual processes (including Excel-based workflows) into automated systems.
- Work closely with engineers, scientists, and project teams to deliver automation solutions.
- Test, validate, and document systems to ensure reliability.
- Continuously improve and adapt tools to evolving data requirements.
- Bachelors or Masters in Mathematics, Physics, Geophysics, Earth Sciences, Computer Science, or Engineering.
- Strong programming skills in Python (NumPy, SciPy; TensorFlow an advantage).
- Proven experience automating workflows and handling large datasets.
- Analytical mindset with excellent problem-solving skills.
- Familiarity with data visualisation/reporting tools (advantage).
- Knowledge of geospatial or geophysical data (advantage, not essential).
