The opportunity
With the continuing and rapid development of tax technology solutions and in particular Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) solutions, it is necessary to enhance our operational models to achieve success in the future. In preparation for the future, EY Tax and Law have created a new “Centre of Excellence” (CoE) to support SaaS solutions throughout their lifecycle.
The objectives of the SaaS CoE are twofold:
- Operational management of Tax and Law SaaS solutions and
- Sales enablement and support to drive the market success of these solutions
Your Role
You’ll work alongside clients and colleagues, balancing your time between supporting business development activities by providing tailored solutions, advising clients on transformation initiatives, delivering solution workshops, networking with our regional leaders and BD teams, supporting market campaigns as well as work with technology ecosystem partners to position our differentiating solution propositions. Since you’ll be working directly with clients and regional client teams, some travel may be required.
Key Responsibilities but not limited to:
- Meet the established total sales targets in collaboration with the Global Tax SaaS Go-to-Market Leader.
- Assist member firms with pursuits, demonstrations, commercial discussions, and technical inquiries related to VAT Reporting and e-Invoicing.
- Develop a robust network with regional leaders across various service lines, key client account managers, and Markets/BD leaders to strengthen the pipeline in the region and support essential sales and account strategies to meet and surpass targets.
- Serve as the go-to expert on the various indirect tax technology assets within the CoE, acting as the primary contact for member firms.
- Aid in the preparation of proposals, presentations, and statements of work (SOWs), as well as respond to RFIs/RFPs by clearly articulating EY’s value proposition in relation to customer-defined requirements and suggesting effective solutions.
- Provide training to member firms on how to effectively position and demonstrate different assets to clients.
- Take responsibility for achieving sales targets in conjunction with the CoE Go-to-Market leader and assist the CoE Leader in reaching overall CoE objectives.
- Participate in champions calls to showcase tool advancements, address challenges, and share success stories.
Preferred experience:
- Minimum of 7+ Years of indirect tax software B2B and pursuit management experience
- Hands-on experience of successfully selling and solutioning applications across different technologies
- Successful achievement of set goals / targets in the last three consecutive years
- Expertise in constructing indirect tax solutions with innovative commercial models
- Keen attention to detail and quality, holding yourself to a high standard of work.
- Confidence and maturity to work effectively with senior leaders across the Business Unit and beyond.
- Ability to multi-task and manage time, delivering within tight timeframes.
- Strong presentation skills and ability using Microsoft Office suite.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills

Job Summary:
As a Global Custody Tax Product Manager within the Tax Product Management team, you will focus on the management and control of the Global Custody business. Your specific aim, along with the Business leads, Operations, Product Control function, and the Client teams, will be to run the Global Custody Tax function end to end. You will have responsibility for the definition, ownership, and business management of custody tax-related matters within the Global Custody business. This role provides an opportunity to work closely with various teams and directly impact the product and service offerings of the custody business.
Job Responsibilities:
- Monitoring and management of implementation of tax changes across Nordic markets and other EMEA locations. Assess impact to product and service offering to custody business locations and their respective clients. Manage appropriate internal and external communications.
- Management of the oversight model ensuring that tax regulations and associated reporting obligations are met in each market. Review and refine the oversight model resulting from changes in market requirements and/or business structure.
- Maintenance of relevant internal / external materials reflecting current state of local law, treaty, including entity level taxation of various types of investor
- Management of tax information in JPMorgan’s Tax Intelligence platform
- Working with advisors and industry participants to oversee the tax service in the local markets
- Participate in relevant industry associations
- Drafting of market flashes and associated policies, tax product materials, etc.
- Collaboration with the Operations and Corporate Tax teams to assess the impact of Market & Regulatory developments on the Global Custody Tax product offering. Ensure that resultant solutions meet agreed requirements / standards.
- Defining and implementing new and / or enhanced tax product features and functions
- Supporting client requests that require a change to the custody tax service offering. Conduct business assessments, define / create solutions and manage the implementation.
Required Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills:
- Ability to move process change, from the definition of initial requirements through to the delivery of the end solution.
- Significant experience working in a professional services firm, a financial services firm, and/or product management role.
- Knowledge of Securities Taxation and the service delivered by a Custodian.
- Demonstrated ability to think strategically with respect to product strategy and development agenda.
- Proven expertise in developing, prioritising and delivering business solutions.
- Strong presentation skills and demonstrable client facing experience.
- Experience working in the Nordic region both in terms of client engagement and Tax Authority liaison;
- Ability to work independentlyin countryand also effectively in a matrix organisation.
- Experience in managing and influencing key business partnersand cross-functional stakeholdersfor the delivery of the services.
- Excellent communication, influencing and negotiation skills with the ability to establish and communicate the Global Custody Tax strategy.

Job Purpose
To provide tax advice and tax compliance services to a wide range of clients who operate in all sectors. To continually assist and ensure that the Clients receive excellent tax compliance service and thus build and maintain relationships that support the PKF Octagon culture and values. Main Responsibilities And Accountabilities
The successful applicant will be required to handle (but is not limited to) the following:
- Prepare Objections for submission to SARS and submit to SARS as required by the Client and Partners. To liaise directly with the relevant Partner before the submission is made to SARS.
- Attend to Objections from start to finish ensuring quality of service and accuracy of output and acting in the best interests of the Client.
- Ensure ongoing follow up and tracking with SARS on all tax related matters, including the objections and submission, on behalf of the Client.
- Take the IT registrations, Tax Clearance, Tax Applications and Objections to SARS and ensure they are properly received.
- To accurately process and log all information on GreatSoft.
- Perform the role of a Client liaison on all tax related matters, ensuring the Client relationship is maintained and excellent services provided.
- Provide continuous and accurate feedback to the relevant Client and Partners.
- Attend to the accurate completion of all tax returns.
- Provide feedback to Partners on the progress of tax returns that you are working on for them.
- Must have at least 5 years of experience in a Tax Compliance role at an Audit and Accounting firm.
- Matric and completed a relevant tax related degree or diploma
- Must know the latest industry and tax rules and legislation.
- Must be computer literate, must know specifically GreatSoft and SARS e-filing.
- Able to apply one’s mind to tax issues.
- Able to interpret information to ensure the maximum benefit to the firm and clients.
- Constantly kept abreast of changes in the industry and able to interpret these changes to the benefit of the firm and clients.

- Inform the Tax Manager of differences for potential objections.
